So Roberta Williams' original had its 40th anniversary a few days ago and it got me wondering... was it not only the first game in the genre but also the first as well (and after only 6 years)? Do any experts know?

The brand new rescan for N64 Magazine 4 - July 1997 (UK) has just been added to the preliminary magazine catalogue.

As always, this version has not gone through the full restoration process, so it will look rougher compared to the old, fully edited one.
But with this rescan, the colour values and shadow detail, as well as overall fine detail is improved quite a bit.

Enjoy! 😚

And finally, just for kicks, an article called: The Games Forum: Dreamcast vs PlayStation 2.
Taken from GamesMaster 80 - April 1999 (UK)

And yet, it does get just as bad as you'd imagine it would. The more things change... 😂

Review for Jewel Master on Mega Drive from Sega Force 2 - February 1992 (UK)

I had so much fun with this one back in the day.
One of those games that I found by looking at all the box art in the local Tandy shop.
Never hear much about this one at all.

And there we go again! Laary 3 is on. Never played this one either! From the get go it already seems a bit more polished and seems to have more of a musical score, which is nice
