The Combination with water is also pretty nice:

HCl (Hydrochloric Acid - Very dangerous)
NaOH (Caustic Soda - Also very dangerous)

Combine to literal Saltwater (H2O and NaCl).

Interestingly, because the reaction goes both ways, in any amount of salt water, there will be a miniscule amount of Hydrochloric Acid and Caustic Soda. The concentration is so low because they immediately react again, going back to water and salt.

For the people who are still aliiiiiiiive

VOwOxel ,

But would you rather have Trump? Because that's what will happen if all the people who don't like either party too much don't vote.

VOwOxel ,

I'm curious. Please (Unironically) tell me about the anti-democratic nature of germany.

VOwOxel ,

But this was not what the Original Comment was about...?
This is not about society as a whole, but rather, well, the nation we live in being ruled in a certain way.
A government for the people, by the people, seems pretty democratic to me.

And Yes, I know there's problems. I know one's job often isn't managed in a democratic fashion (although that does exist, mind you).
I know there's corruption and misinformation and whatever else, but at the end of the day,
my vote counts.
And so does everyone else's.

VOwOxel ,

You can grow your own pot for private use. I think that's a pretty good step.

I wrote my own password manager about a year ago, in java. It uses Vigenère encryption using a key the computer doesn't remember (that you have to write down somewhere). I still don't actually use it in my daily life, firefoxes password manager is pretty convenient and I'm pretty lazy...

VOwOxel ,

Yes, I think so.
You can definitely view them in plaintext,
And you can export them, too.

I found that yuzu is more stable while Ryujinx is able to calculate uncached shaders a lot faster, which is great for playing Smash Ultimate, since I couldn't get online shadercaches to work correctly. I overall prefer Ryujinx, but both are very solid.

Various Building code violations, possession of dangerous chemicals, Code violations concerning nuclear reactors, unauthorized mining.
Possibly poaching wildlife.
Minecraft: All The Mods 9. I'm not very far into it yet, so there's probably a lot of stuff coming on top of that soon.

Music Piracy Is Back, Baby ( gizmodo.com )

"Muso, a research firm that studies piracy, concluded that the high prices of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music are pushing people back towards illegal downloads. Spotify raised its prices by one dollar last year to $10.99 a month, the same price as Apple Music. Instead of coughing up $132 a year, more consumers...

I don't want to run a server for selfhosting, so I just have my library (about 300GB of mostly OPUS files)
On my pc and on a 512GB microSD card in my phone.

I use Foobar2000 on PC and Poweramp on Android.

VOwOxel ,

Just asking, is there some sort of "Open Source DND"?

VOwOxel ,

Same thing with HP. Their "Pavillion" series of Towers contains a proprietary motherboard and power supply. Also, on the model a friend of mine had, the CPU was AMD, but the cooler scewed on top was designed for intel-purposed boards, so it looked kinda frankensteined.

So in essence, it's the same with HP.

VOwOxel ,

I'm going to say that today, even on lower-end phones, the screen, processor and camera are all pretty decent.

I have a Motorola G31, which cost about 200€ one year ago, when I got it.
It has a Micro SD Card Slot and a headphone jack.
The screen is plenty good (1440p,60hz) (why would you need 120hz or 4k on a phone)
And the camera is also quite nice. It has no fancy features, but it takes pictures and that's all I need.

From my perspective, flagship phones are impractical and overpriced to say the least.

VOwOxel ,

I too can vouch for Motorola. I have the 200$ G31 and it’s got a headphone jack and micro-sd-slot. I’m very pleased with its quality and performance so far, and hope it lasts some years to come.

VOwOxel ,

agree, and not just for 3,5mm jacks. If there is a way to do it with a cable, i will choose the cable instead of a wireless solution. The only time I didn’t was with a wireless mouse that, after a while, I just kept on the cable anyway. They are so very convenient, especially the 3,5mm jack.

VOwOxel OP ,

I must say It’s daunting to reduce the amount of keys that much, since I’m used to full-size. Then again, I use the numpad mostly to control foobar2000 (music), which should be easily balanced with a thumb-activated additional layer in a board such as the corne. I can’t seem to find the fully assembled version of the corne, but the unicorne is assemblable without soldering. Would you recommend low-profile switches? I have absolutely no experience typing on those so I’d be interested to know what the difference feels like.

VOwOxel OP ,

Another thing: I use Blender. Is it possible / feasible to reduce key count that much when blender has this huge amount of keyboard shortcuts? I think if I were to buy an ergo keyboard, I’d gravitate towards the moonlander for this reason.

VOwOxel OP ,

Also, the Moonlander has people saying the tenting is uncomfortable, and to go with the ergodox ez instead… I’m just unsure because there is so many to choose from, but most of them are so expensive that I’d have to buy one and stick with it for years to come.
