I think morbid curiosity is not weird, people rubberneck at car accidents. What you are describing sounds like it is going beyond a passing interest though, and the further you go down that rabbit hole, the weirder it will be.
Since you're asking, it might be a good idea to talk to a professional. You might also consider getting into something like an extreme sport.
I've had a hunch for a long time that people who grew up in a busy household with lots of family around are better equipped to ignore noise / light and be able to fall asleep easily. You should go wake them up and ask them.

New week new games! Whatcha all been playing? I decided to finally finish paper Mario ttyd (emulated on dolphin). Almost done with it! Trying to beat bone tail on the 100 level dungeon rn...
Still playing Shining Force 2, almost at the end. I read somewhere that Peter is the real main character and kind of agree.
I also started playing Sonic Adventure 2 because it looked cool and was less than $2, and omg, it might be the worst game I've ever played. I looked it up and it apparently was rushed, had a small team, and was made during a turbulent time at Sega. But it's just bad. The controls are garbage, camera is even worse and sometimes does not let you move it to see where you're going. The dialogue is thrown together poorly so the characters are often talking over each other in cutscenes. It's a shame too because I can see the wasted potential. At least the chill Knuckles levels are still fun to play, and the music is memorable. I really hope the "Dark" path is better than the "Hero" path.
Who came up with this, and when? I got the impression that this is a relatively new invention, even though it seems so simple that it makes you wonder how this could even be something new. You still meet people who have not heard about it, even though they have a modern sleeping pad that could be shnozzled....
I've never heard it called by that name before. But I've had a sleeping pad with that type of pump bag for a few years and it's great. 10 pumps and it's full.
