Biden wants an open border, so he's looking to worsen the problem. Then he'll stupidly turn around and wonder why there's a lot of shit happening that Americans don't like about when it comes to migrants.
I love the sheer double standard in this world where everyone enforces their borders but not America, for some stupid frivolous reason.
This is so Reddit it's not even funny. Dude, go back to that filth of a place where people can't even determine what Communism is, what Socialism is, what Right-Left winged politics even are anymore. Because all I'm seeing is just finger pointing and everyone going off on their own personal definitions of what's what, not the universally agreed definitions of these things.
Hell, I barely even know these things too, but I'm not about to go around proving to people that I don't know what they are by opening my big mouth.
Coming to terms that maybe that I don't have as much going wrong with me mentally as I thought. I went into therapy for credential reasons, to say that I have issues than what I see everyone else do and that's self-diagnose themselves. Well, I know that I do have some things wrong with me but the severity isn't as grand as I thought.
It's good because maybe there's a chance here that I can try to manage all of this, without being drugged up.
The bad news is, is that, there's been so much destruction in my life due to these issues that I thought were severe, then having to explain who remains with me about what's going on, what's been going on .etc
There's just so much exposition and everyone I know has the attention span of a housefly.
I think for me, the internet would have to be totally eclipsed by the enshittification process, for me to revise how I use it and what for. I've been online for 28 years now and I am beginning to slow down more and more as time goes on. I used to have been a community seeker, an explorer and a very curious person....
You're not kidding, with Google. Like fucking hell, it feels like the last time Google was remotely useful, was 15 years ago. That's a long ass time it's been since Google actually gave you results. Now it just gives results, but no relevancy. The first 3 links are sponsors, the rest of the links, are just either broken or places you've been to already where say if you were looking for something for research, then that part of the page doesn't have what you're looking for.
And it's like, Google is so large of a company, you'd think they'd be so big as to care about sorting out it's search engine so things like terms and certain words don't collide with eachother right? Like, you google 'Skillet' and what do you get? You get more about the band named Skillet, than you do the actual pan skillet. Imagine if you're someone who wants to know about skillet pans and that's what you get, it'd be frsutrating.
I'm 50/50 in all walks of social media. I don't talk/reply much, but I also don't give people too much trouble. If an asshole wants to throw down, maybe I'll respond out of spite to tell them off.
Opinion-based anything, instance/subreddit/community, tends to be very polarizing to be in. It's always dog-eat-dog in those realms with people fighting to try and be the righteous one, disregarding the concept that opinions were never about being right or wrong.
There’s a tendency in this heated political climate to simply reject people who are saying false things and to write off conspiracy theorists writ large....
I would've been so on the side of those who want government reform or little government around, if their solutions to the problems weren't so batshit and attacking so many strawmen and inflicting the rights of others who aren't them.
That is where the singular problem of this lies.
And orbiting around one soulless individual and an equally as soulless political party is absolutely not the way to go about it either.
A lot of the transgender people I've befriended and even dated. They all stick to the simple things.
They don't really care about whatever the hell the pronouns have gone to. They just wanted to be the opposite sex. Some, wanted to be no gender. Others, were genderfluid. They weren't pretentious by coming up with 50 different genders and 50 more ways to call them by.
Yeah but you know, if you want to be taken seriously, you need to be a little more realistic.
I'm having a hard time taking zie, zim, zis and all that seriously. Even if they have meanings, you're really sounding like you're treating your identity like it's a title a child gives themselves to like it's a flavor of the week.
Mine right now off the top of my head is Adam Savage, former co-host of Mythbusters years ago. I sometimes watch his Tested videos whenever he answers questions and he answers them very thoughtfully. A lot of his thoughts, takes and answers based on his experiences and point of view on life and career has helped me be more...

So this it to anyone out there who thinks this idea would work in America - no, this would be a TERRIBLE idea.
Because if we have people going all over the country just murdering politicians. We'd be seeing people murder those people that murdered those politicians because we have a strong team-based mentality here.
I would say that Trump is like that 14 year old edgy idealist rebel who thinks the world is better realized under their haphazard of a vision. The one who wants to get all of their unqualified and equally inexperienced friends in positions of power who all think they're better than officially qualified individuals with the experience.
That is him in a nutshell and we've seem him practice exactly that.
Even in the back of their minds, the religious are unsure where they're going. Because nobody came back from the dead to tell anyone what to expect.
Mankind has constructed the idea of Heaven, Hell, Rainbow Bridge, Valhalla, River Styx, Hades .etc as places we all think we'll go when we die. But the truth of the matter is, is that we won't know until we do die, though we can't come back to tell anyone what's there and what to expect.
It is all as superfluous as trying to tell someone there's a being of omniscient and omnipotent design that controls the casualty of our actions.
No, for that to work, you needed to be the only convincing, smart and devious conman that had influence on otherwise people with simple brains in ancient civilization. Ones who were too scared to even know what a sun eclipse was.
I have accounts on various Reddit alternatives and have also had accounts on now-defunct sites. However, none have exhibited the same level of negativity as Lemmy.
It was predicted ahead of time that there would have been ex-Reddit users or current Reddit users who's got to come over and spread their misery carried over from Reddit itself. Very insufferable people with too much time on their hands to be bothering to do that.
If only they'd realize that it's far easier to handle them on Lemmy than it is Reddit. Which in turn, makes them look stupid. I mean, Lemmy isn't like Spez who allows the registration system to be treated as a machine gun of alts so that trolls seemingly come back instantaneously to resume where they left off.
For example, I remember the time when American Idiot by Green Day came out in 2004. The song "Wake Me Up When September Ends" was everywhere on the radio. The song is about the death of the vocalist's father dying when he was age 10....
Yeah because I'm angry at Windows for some of the dumbest shit it's done for a while now.
And I'm still angry whenever I'm on Linux because it's progress is taking too long for it to be embraced more comfortably when it comes to compatibility. I'd like for more things and development to work with even the most known Linux OSes. Just pick 5 of the best Linux OSes out there and develop for them. It worked for Ubuntu for awhile until that randomly got dropped by some manufacturers.
Until then I'm just angry to be on Linux because I know I can't 100% run everything I want to on it as I did Windows.
But it's more likely that if Gabe doesn't have someone or something in mind that keeps Steam on track, there's few companies that can buy it. Microsoft could acquire it. Sony could acquire it. Epic games could acquire it.
Companies that would have no care or clue in how to keep Steam as is.
I'm glad that it seems like he's extended the longevity of his life by losing a lot of weight. Have you seen him now? Looks amazing for his age. I think if he continued where he was, he might've passed away at some point or be in a worse condition.
He needs as much time as possible to decide what he's going to do after he's gone.
Throughout the years there's been many useful information shared on staying safe during protests as well as many infographics made. What are some safety tips you've learned and some infographics you've saved?...
I think the first stage of a protest is to thoroughly research and gather lots of information as to whether or not it is worth going through the efforts of protesting.
It'd be a waste of time, effort and consequence going out there to protest against something you only have a morsel level of understanding.
I wouldn't say that your parents, my parents, their parents .etc failed us.
The ones who failed them and everyone around them, were the peers that ran the system that lied and convinced everyone that everything was going to be okay when simpler times were taken advantage of.
I'm 24 and dealing with high blood pressure. I've seen five doctors, had countless tests, and they all say the same thing: "Take these pills and try to reduce pressure in your life." It's as though my blood pressure and heart rate have minds of their own, fluctuating freely without any reason....
My life right now is on a countdown timer, a very slow one at that. It's tied to the rotting decay of my teeth. The oral surgeries, dental implants and all of that I know will cost me thousands even with insurance. It's something I elect not to face and deal with because in doing so, it'll pit me in either a life of debt or I'll be spending a life with no chance of having any kind of enjoyment with whatever gains I make because it'll all be spent just dealing with one expense after another.
I know the severities of what happens if you choose not to deal with oral health. I also suspect that I am feeling some of the effects of it as well. Rather than feeling continual hopelessness about it, I just do what I can, brush my teeth knowing it's pointless because they're going to all go away by the time I'm 45 or 50.
Can they really fuck up any more than they've already fucked up?
I don't know about you, but the only thing I can see that Reddit could do that'll fuck them up is either taking porn away because their shareholders demand it or they fall out of favor with the stock market because Wall St realized how much of an idiot spez really is to them.
KBin did exist back then last year. The problem with KBin right now is the guy running it is having personal issues and the magazines there are getting swamped by bots and spam. And there's nobody there to kick them out.
Facebook users know very well that Mark has spent the last 10 years, bastardizing Facebook in every way he can. It's not a good place for security. He doesn't give a shit about your privacy. He no longers rely on actual people to help step in and resolve on-site problems, rather rely on a stupid hub system and he's high on his stupid metaverse shit.
Yet, billions are still there.
Reddit, same way. The worst part about Reddit and even Twitter users is the mental gymnastics they're willing to go through, to justify and rationalize why they're staying.
Why can't crybaby shitbag Lemmy users go kill themselves when they massively report?
They should die already, the fuckers.
