Took a gamble on a #Apple#MacBookPro from late 2011 from a local 2ndhand site for 70 Euro. The ad stated it did not boot anymore. I figured maybe it's corrupt software but the screen image was jumbled when booting. Swapping the DDR3 memory to 16GB I still had and installing #Linux did the trick and I now have fully functioning laptop. Screws for the bottom panel, new feet, a new battery and a 512GB SSD are in shipping to me.This time the gamble paid off.
