Eastern Veil Nebula (NGC 6992 ) ( lemmy.world )
Took this over the past week. This was my second attempt at this target and I am quite happy with the result and the fine detail captured. This is a narrowband image. Taking with a WO FTL 132 and an ASI6200MM using a WO ZS 61 as the guide scope.

I'm an Idiot ( lemmy.world )
Have been using a William Optics GT71 refractor since 2017. Nice scope, but despite tweaking the flattener / reducer and post processing the heck out of the subframes, I never was amazed by the crispness of the stars nor the flatness across the whole frame. I’d seen images posted on astrobin and elsewhere from newer astrograph...
Andromeda ( feddit.de )
First try of shooting Andromeda. The picture is more of an art image as I added a tilt shift effect....
NGC 6823 - A stunner from Spain ( kbin.social )
Thought I'd share my first image in a while! NGC 6823 has sooo much going on and looks great in both RGB and Narrowband. I went for Foraxx here, with RGB stars. Desperately needed more O3 - I lost 80% of my subs due to high haze. I had to stretch it within an inch of its life!...
The Pleiades (Messier 45) ( lemmy.world )
Taken from the backyard. I love this target. I keep adding more integration time to it to bring out further details.
M8, Lagoon Nebula ( i.imgur.com )
Taken from a Colorado backyard on a Vespera telescope. About 30 minutes exposure.

Moderation of the sub/magaizine ( kbin.social )
Hi all. I set this up quickly in frustration of reddit, and I still have not returned to the site sinces Spez's Elon-fuelled tirade....
Observatory started ( lemmy.world )
Pressure treated 2x4s, fourteen sides, two of which are a door. Bolted into a ton of concrete. About to put the sides on. No pier, just a place to keep the tripod in a stable location to cut down on setup time. Top rail is level and smooth, but not sure yet if I’ll have the dome rotate, or just have removable sections.
NGC 6995 / East Veil, August 2022 ( lemmy.world )
2000x1500pxls. One of my last unguided images with a WO GT71 and Fujifilm XT20, before springing big bucks for an ASIAIR and an ASI183MC Pro, along with a guider. 2.5 hours of 30s subs. SIRIL and GIMP.
Tonight's Moon. ( lemmy.world ) Japanese
shot on a pixel 7 pro, with a half second exposure.
Crab Nebula (Messier 1) in Narrowband ( lemmy.world )
Captured in January 2023 using a William Optics 132 refractor on a Sky Watcher EQ6R-Pro with a ASI 533MM Pro camera. I struggled a bit as my telescope pinched the stars a bit in the cold weather. This was 15hr of integration time over three nights.

Orion's belt and nebula ( feddit.de )
This is my first ever attempt at an astro image and I thought why not share it here....
M33 / Triangulum, Nov 2022 ( lemmy.world )
45 minutes unguided with Fujifilm XT20 camera through a WO GT71 with reducer/flattener on a CEM26. Siril and Gimp.
Eagle Nebula, July 30 2022 ( lemmy.world )
Back in the days when I had a smaller GT71 refractor, unguided, a Fujifilm XT20 DSLR, and just did 20-45 minute integrations of 30-60 second subs using Siril and GIMP for postprocessing.
Horse head and Flame Nebula in Ha ( lemmy.world )
This was my first composition using my upgraded mount - an Orion EQ-G, shot several years ago. A bit of optical train artifacts on the brightest star in this field - this kind of artifact is a difficult one to suppress on particularity bright stars week my SCT/hyperstar setup

Ring Planetary Nebula (Messier 57) ( lemmy.world )
Captured this over the past month as a final target after doing my main targets. This took a lot of processing to bring out the details as it is a relatively small target. I also played with the but and color curves in order to achieve this color scheme.
Iris Reflection Nebula (NGC 7023) ( lemmy.world )
I took this over the last two nights using a William Optics 132 refractor. It is RGB but captured in monochrome and re-colored....
Crescent Nebula in HOO captured from backyard. ( lemmy.world )
I captured this over 2 nights in narrowband using H and O filters. This was done using a Celestron C8 on a Sky Watcher EQ6R-Pro with an ZWO EAF, EFW and a ASI533MM Pro (Cooled) camera.
