Happy Mother’s Day! After taking my partner of 34 years to Costco (I’m a romantic) we’re kicking back with some good wine for her and a Crimson Keep for me!

Barrel-aged Red Ale, Malty sweetness, cherry and caramel notes. Another brilliant dragon from

Kids decided to stop by for dinner, so double the dragons in the cellar!

It’s a Peter Gabriel-esque dark side / light side show.

Dragon’s Milk Tales of Gold bourbon-barrel aged Golden Ale. Like a light quadruple with sweet bourbon notes. Delightful.

Reached for the Bourbon Barrel Quad and then remembered the new Dragons Milk Tales of Gold was a similar flavor.

Had to side-by-side them! The Quad is for sure more cherry-bitters. The Golden is smoother and has the Quad notes without the cherry bite.

A worthy showdown! My wife prefers the Quad (not what I expected).
