This provides some excellent food for thought for any of you considering a or .

Can you afford to accept that opportunity?

Here’s what it might cost to live in a college town:
Rent: $800-$1000/month (1 bedroom in a shared apartment)
Utilities: $150/month (if you’re sharing)
Public Transit: $50/month (more if you maintain a car)
Groceries: $400-$500/month
Phone: $30-50/month
Self-maintenance (medicine, toiletries): $50-100/month

I know this is hard to hear: but don’t take an offer you cannot afford.

This week, I had the opportunity to present my research at the UCF Research Symposium 2024. It was great to see so many people showing the interest in my work on assessing the socio-economic impacts of compound for U.S. coastal communities. It’s always rewarding when your work sparks genuine interest and discussion. I appreciate the thoughtful feedback that will surely refine my future research.

This looks like an interesting for those of you who are about to get your or have just gotten it.

The feeling of aimlessness after years of working on your PhD cannot be understated.

This is something many finished PhDs struggle with immediately following the completion of their PhD.

Its normal, and you are not alone or weird for feeling this way.

We recently released an episode about big news in the world of science, including AI-generated published images and millions worth of research samples destroyed, which you can watch on YouTube😱
