I took a new (to me) lens to San Francisco, the Canon FD 50mm/1.4, which I haven't had a chance to test before going (which I in hindsight realized was not very wise). I shot 4 rolls of film on the trip. Eagerly awaiting the scans to come back from the lab...
Accidentally underdeveloped these negatives by a LOT by using a 1:127 instead of a 1:31 solution of Legacy Pro L110. But Tri-X is a forgiving stock, thankfully!
someone saw my camera in the tray and was like, is that film? lemme hand check the film for you. what film are you shooting? where did you get the waist level finder? i really want one too.
Late last year, I ran a small project with a nonprofit in San Francisco. We gave out instant film cameras (color and black and white) to 5 people who were either unhoused or who lived nearby in one of the 'SROs'. We did a tiny, tiny exhibition.
I'm still working to figure out how to make this a more regular thing, and how to show their work, because they have such amazing stories to tell.
Oh boy! Got sucked back into IG after winning an image comp there. I still have contacts there that I don't want to lose but they are not here. Same with bsky. It's frustrating me and I've neglected engaging here and I don't want to share the same stuff everywhere. How's everybody else doing? 🤷♂️
