Just read issue 1 of Dynamite's Space Ghost.

I know it's supposed to be a different version of Space Ghost. I know Brak is a fearsome villain here.

I still can't unhear George Lowe and Andy Merrill when I read it.

Still a cool comic and I'm eagerly awaiting for Issue 2.

Infinitas' free trial mode has been expanded! There are now 15 songs to play, the Normal charts can now be played along with the Beginner charts, and it no longer quits out after playing one song. It doesn't save scores, but if you want to try out IIDX, the demo is now a little more generous.

What the hey, I haven't released anything since I released my GBJam entry about what feels like a few centuries ago, let's see if I can do a game jam entry in 3 months.

Day 1, and I've already learned how to compile a GBA file that's just a movable smiley face and a button that randomly chooses a background color.

Decided to experiment some more, and I figured out how to have sprites with more than one frame, and a way to change that frame.

I could make a clone of a certain dice game, but I think I can do better than that. (Already did one on SmileBasic, I just never published it.)

My end result of messing around throughout yesterday.

Maybe the score text is a bit too much. Coded the score display using sprites, and the changed numbers even scale up slightly!

...maybe I should also start working out what the game should be.

Day 2 was trying to copy butano fighter's scene system (butano being the engine I'm using), shoehorning in my test main.cpp I worked on in day 1, and failing miserably. I was able to revert back, but I made no progress.

Again, I probably should think of the game before I do anything fancy like figure out how to do scene systems in this engine and console.

Day 3: Against my better judgment, I tried to make a scene system again, and I think I succeeded for now.

Might as well get it over with it now before I complete something in a main.cpp and then find out the scene system wouldn't work with it.

Had some extra time, so I gave it a background and a more dynamic "landing."

    This game sure likes having bosses where you have to wait.

    I struggled with one of the special stages, but the other two after it were just fine, so hey, I won't get the Try Again ending.

    Not sure what to feel about DDR World's new look. Maybe it'll look better in motion, but it's pretty bright. Don't like how the music videos are just in a tiny screen like DDR II's.

    Cool that they finally gave us more speed mods, and I'm glad we can finally change the arrow styles in the game.

    One rhythm I never really got to play was EZ2DJ, though I did get to play these songs eventually in the (fantastic) EZ2ON Respect R.

    It has a very interesting history, so many times they ran into issues, and not just the expected one either!

    I just learned Nintendo added the feature to hook up your Switch directly to the PC in 2020, and you can access the videos and screenshots. It even has folders for each game!

    Definitely a lot better than the Smartphone method, though I wish I can just use a thumb drive on the dock like the PS5.

    KAC 2023 happens, and everyone outside of Japan gets banned from KAC for daring to make a Japanese account so they can get the points to participate in KAC.

    Then they call the next DDR "DDR World", and the first thing they do is a Japan only e-Amusement pass campaign.

    Numan Athletics is such a great game. I originally planned to only play it once, but I ended up playing it twice and played the Caravan mode!

    I really need to practice my Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr., but good to know I'm somewhat decent at Donkey Kong 3. Justice for Stanley.
