That begs the question: what alternatives are available to Palestinians? Diplomacy has been tried, multiple times, and each time Israel has either outright refused, or reneged after having signed agreements. So... what's left? Foreign intervention? Could be far worse, for Palestinians anyway.

To be very clear, I am not advocating foreign intervention at all. I think Palestinians must decide their own government, their own future - unlike all the "day after" proposal I have seen thus far.

I need to say, I respect your position. I am naturally anti-violence myself. That said...

Getting people to think for themselves won't happen in our lifetimes, not when disinformation is getting increasingly worse, and the media contributes, as you pointed out.

Palestinians have been under the Israeli boot for over 75 years.How much more suffering are they supposed to take? When there are no other realistic options available, only violence remains

@PoliceStateUK What is very "surprising" in this article, is no mention at all of elections. Surprising especially because some of the states involved are supposedly democracies.

What is instead clear is that the various plans call for a Palestinian state, run by an imposed, puppet government.

@jane_eyrie Israel doesn't allow any foreign journalist into Gaza - except for 2-3 times, when a select few journalist have been "guided" by the IDF to specific sites, and not allowed to go anywhere else.

Israel doesn't want the world to see what is happening (I wonder why?) so the only reporting comes from Gazans themselves.
