#FarhanHaq, a #UN spokesperson, said the new smaller numbers reflected those bodies which had been fully identified. The bigger figures included corpses for whom identification has so far not been completed.

Thousands of truck/trailers are stuck on the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing since last week because of the Israeli occupation of the border. Most of the fresh products in the trucks have gone bad and there is a risk of other items to be destroyed if #Israel does not allow the help to get in.

The Saudi TV channel #AlHadath reported that #Egypt's border guards have increased patrols along the border with the Gaza Strip. According to the report, "Egypt, Qatar and other Arab countries refused an Israeli proposal to participate in managing the Strip after the war." It was also stated that "The mediators informed Washington of their opposition to Israel continuing to manage the Strip."

Axios cites two sources as stating that Israeli forces are going to take over the Palestinian side of the #Rafah crossing between #Egypt and Gaza in the next few hours.
The Israeli military have started it's ground offensive against Rafah by the border of Egypt by air, artillery and tanks.
There are reports of heavy bombings and classes by the border, with no reaction from the Egyptian military despite loud warning about such acts just a few weeks ago.
