An adaptation of the Wheel of Time book series that doesn't actively invert the characters and themes in service to a boring, schizophrenic mess.

Make some realistic film from book adaptations that stick to the book in descriptions and speech word for word. Some things I would want to do: His Dark Materials, Harry Potter, Foundation

I would also love to input some of my worldbuilding ideas into the computer and have it generate a video game, or film, or story.

andrewf ,

I'm not sure a 1:1 would make sense for Foundation. At least not for people who haven't read it anyways. Sure would be interesting though.

Remake Zootopia, but the nudist colony scene would have some additions.

You don't need an AGI for this, just an AI-- it's a specific task.

the most darkest (aka "real") version of fairy tales and folk lore that can be possibly made with cgi.

any "real" princesses from this story won't be talking to birds and/ or forest creatures but have great hearts and wills of steel. "real" princes are welcome too.

Ya know, maybe this explains why I (mostly) don't like movies and don't watch many. They are what you get if you take a fairly simple prompt (a short story, say) and run it through a generative AI. I'd rather just read the story directly, skipping the AI bot or Hollywood buffoonery as the case may ne.

Honestly? I'd crank out the fictional settings I've been tinkering with for a long time (one a military-political science fiction setting, the other a dark fantasy one).

Part of the problem is that I tend to think and create visually, so I don't feel writing really captures either very well. I can picture, in my head, how I want to visually frame the most enthralling or emotional moments... but translating them to words never seems to capture it. So an AGI that could produce the media from my imagination on-demand is pretty much a dream come true.

I really like the idea of changing settings midway through a show. A story would start in ancient China, then switch to the distant future (with the same characters, situation, and ongoing plot), then switch to WWII (same characters, etc), and so on.

I have no idea what kind of story would work with that kind of setting change, but I really like the idea.

And then I'd like to see the same kind of setting bouncing, but with the characters being aware of the switches, and trying to gain advantage through it. Kind of like Inception, but less terrible.

They're technically different characters, just with similar actors.

The four Blackadders are all fairly different from each other.

    Gregorech ,

You could make it similar to Quantum Leap jumping through time within family members. Slowly realizing what's happening and leaving notes for themselves like 50 first dates. The most confusing would be not knowing a full true family history or what they will be in the middle of when they take control.

You could have an adult brain in womb. Or in hospice.

    sbv ,

That'd be pretty cool. I like the idea of leaving notes to themselves.

You'd maybe like "Bodies" on Netflix. It's a time traveling crime series that involves 4 investigators from 4 different tone periods.

I haven't seen it, but it sounds like it's up your alley.

Not episodic. And not "the descendants of".

If it was a heist movie, then the lead up could be in 1942 Paris - the thieves are anti-Nazi resistance and Allied spies, then, when it comes time for the theft to occur, it would switch to some third millennia setting on a space station. All the characters are the same. The Nazi general who has gathered gold from people sent to concentration camps is now the governor of the heavy helium mining operation (I dunno), played by the same actor, with a different accent, referring to the same events that happened previously. Then it'd switch to some other setting for the escape - but it would be the same characters with the same motivations/foibles/history.

More dark fantasy. Like Game of Thrones, but with a touch more magic.

I want non-dark fantasy, less "we have to save the world from the big bad guy" and more "here are the little every day things that come with being an elf/dwarf/hobbit/whatever".

A story ive been writing about a father and son getting trapped in a cave, for 6 years. (Not trapped for 6 years, the idea was 6 years ago)

Thing is-it was always an idea I had visually despite normally writing sn a creative endeavour.

So a black and white, lit by candlelight, claustrophobic movie and FULL of symbolism.

Starring daniel day lewis as the father.
