@jmcrookston Very easy to do.
Also easy to engineer it so that you see more positive tweets than negative ones, apparently 3:1 is the optimal ratio for mental health.

Tech titans absolutely know this, they just decided not to to maximise dwell and hence advertising time from their platform.

I've been beating the drum about fixing this for a decade now, but no one took it up. Maybe now we could?

It's never going to happen at the commercial sites for the reason you already expressed, but it would be a nice aspiration for some of the independent or open source solutions.

I'm just joking with the second post. However the first is an interesting idea.

It would be a nice counterpoint to the "If you can get likes it must be good" which usually devolves into garbage on the main social media.

How would you police a good thread? Likes? Then how to avoid the above.

For now we just have to boost the good stuff manually 😉

(Oh and yes I'm fully aware they promote the divisive stuff intentionally to drive engagement.)
