Video of the operation today that used controlled explosives to break apart the bridge lying across the Dali vessel near Baltimore.

As described by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, pre-cutting was done at strategic locations along the truss, and then small, metal-covered explosive cores were placed inside to create pressure and separate the metal in two.

@AkaSci And this is why Internet is better than TV. The TV news would have teased throughout a 30 minute newscast, while most of us just want to see the kaboom, and perhaps the explainer on how they did it.

That ship is wrecked! The extent of the damage had not been obvious before.

Some people must be waiting for their stuff that is in those containers too.
