🍂 Unblocked a drain that was full of leaves.

🚲 A very pleasant bike ride, I'd worried it was going to be too hot.

  2. Four swallows were circling round today.
  3. A wren is nesting in the holly tree. A good choice of home, well protected against predators and weather.

  • long walk with a friend to a local lake where we saw a swan chasing a goose away (two Canada Geese). On the return trip we saw five rabbits (2 adults and 3 baby bunnies)

Three positive things for today:
05/18/2024

  1. In full blooming blooms: marsh mallow, dark pink rhododendron, little purple flowering perennial, culinary sage, and the red bell flowers.
  2. Starting to be blooming blooms: the white rose bush, backyard spireas, pink rhododendron, and the white bell flowers.
  3. Lawn has been mowed.

  1. Wonderful surprise that hot, crunchy, delicious fried chicken is now within 1.5 miles / 2.4 km of me, 20% off on Saturdays.
  2. Event meetup consisted only of friendly faces, most whom I know. Social anxiety fading as the positive interactions accumulate.
  3. Spent a semi-sunny afternoon with my friend outdoors, no rain and friend was in a creative, friendly, upbeat mood.

  1. Having warmth at home when I need it, especially to relax my painful muscles today.

  2. Watching a livestream of South African wildlife (thank you WildEarth on YouTube). Was great to spot two squirrels today and see a zoom-in of a giraffe. All amazing animals. I miss being around animals, so these things fill up my soul.

  3. Might sound strange to say this, but I’m glad I won’t have any more grades released before my exam, nor see other stressed out students. Time for some calm and to create my own environment that works much better for me.

Three good things for today:

  • patio seating at our favorite sushi restaurant to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (how can this be, seems like only yesterday!)

  • no buds on my daylily yet but it seems to be growing talk and strong (I’m very emotionally invested)

  • got a mix-up straightened out with a credit card company without any hassle (shocking!)
