Remember the US stopped funds to UNRWA bc Israel said some employees were involved in Oct 7? Well, they lied. Again.

In a new report, UNRWA employees testify that Israeli officers beat and waterboarded them into making false confessions.

This is a great concept. It's a group of activists putting up posters of the alt text (it looks like) with a black square where a photo would normally be, describing photos of the genocide in Palestine.

Muslims were disinvited to a US Democratic campaign event. Not a good look. I wish we had other options for voting. These people want to do a genocide without people yelling at them i guess:(

As you can clearly see in the video, these women were "disinvited" while others were being let in who were in line behind them. When pressed about why they were not allowed in, the Harris officials could not give a legitimate reason. For all those voters who were not sure about who to vote for in the upcoming election, please ask yourselves if you are ok with the openly, blatant racism we are seeing here by the Biden/Harris ticket. Not only are they funding and giving political cover to Israel to commit a genocide against the Palestinian people but they are also discriminating against Americans for their religious beliefs. Shame on our Democratic “leaders”, @nvdems staffers Sean Hoey & Demi Falcon, @ClarkDems Chair Shelby Wiltz, and every supporter partaking in Islamophobia.
Don't do a racism on video. Twitter WILL find you. Screenshot of one of the people who blocked Muslims from the Democrat campaign event in Nevada, Sean Hoey. Picture is of a white man with short blond hair and sunglasses in a rust colored jacket holding a disposable starbucks coffee cup. In the background are city buildings and a few trees planted among the courtyard or sidewalk made of bricks.

Today marks five years since Israeli forces assassinated the Palestinian intellectual and militant, Basel al-Araj.

Read this moving review of his posthumously published book “I Have Found My Answers” to get an idea of the significance of his life & work.

Continued-- Can't believe I ever thought myself solid enough. Shivering in the cold, when the electricity has gone, I remind myself: fiction does not owe anything to reality. But doesn't reality owe a little something to fiction? A bite to eat? Some warm water? Some cool water? After a while I stop sticking my tongue out at passersby, because they stop looking shocked. After a while, night soaks in and doesn't leave. Maybe I like it. Maybe it's too lonely. Maybe I shouldn't have listened to anyone that wasn't me. In the abandoned parking lot, each space is occupied by a single Palestinian, all of us looking straight ahead, no one touching. No solidarity with wisps. No community in illusion. I touch myself and wonder if I'm still there. The fly that won't leave me alone reminds me someone, at least, believes in me, and that I am sweet. That's enough. Enough. Enough. That's enough. Screenshot of a painting - two Palestinian women in traditional embroidered dresses surrounded by items typical of Palestine - coffeepot painted with leaves and blue accents, a lemon, olives, slice of watermelon, an old fashioned key, a poppy, a Palestine flag, a black and white keffiyeh, a slingshot, pomegranate.

Thread continued: The reason this ridiculous racist piece is so silly is that Hamas is a small one-issue group that is a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is already the "global" part of that ideology. It's like asking if the ideology of New Hampshire could "go global" as it's part of the US The purpose of Hamas, as one (1) branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, is Palestinian liberation from the Israeli occupation. It has no other purpose. When Israel ends its illegal occupation, Hamas will most likely dissolve. As long as Israel breaks international law, Hamas lives. Now the bigger question to ask is why the West has made it so impossible to stand for Palestinian liberation that Hamas -- which only won governance because Palestinians were protesting the bad governance of the Palestinian Authority -- is the only entity defending Gaza right now
Thread continued: Anyway I'm so sick of these dipshit mediocre white guys in foreign policy trying to leapfrog each other with more Islamophobic assumptions about geopolitics. For 20 years these bigots have been functioning on one "Muslims! Bad!" brain cell with zero capability for nuance. How are you going to have an IRISH FLAG in your bio and not understand the history of movements against violent, deadly and illegal occupations!! May the soul of Michael Collins personally escort this dipshit away from foreign policy writing to some job at a car dealership.

On folks reaction to Khashoggi vs so many Palestinian journalists being murdered, a lot of times specifically targeted, while wearing press vests and body armor. From Washington Post - one of those should work. Quote below⬇️

I revisited a book set under Israeli occupation in the 70s. It's an old one, but i think there's still a lot there on Palestinians not being a monolith & violence of occupation.
