libs and elections gaslighting

The notion that Biden represents a lesser evil compared to the chaotic reign of Trump is a common argument. However, we must not forget that there exists a moral threshold below which neither choice is acceptable. To suggest that enabling a literal genocide can be considered a lesser evil is a morally bankrupt stance....

Funny that Soviet engineering outshines what free-market innovation has produced in the West.

Exactly, the battery is one of the most expensive parts of an EV. So, this basically means domestic EV industry in US is going to wither.

China is cheating!

Thing is that they don't have the industrial capacity for the wars they want to have. It's one thing to brutalize people of Afghanistan for a couple of decades. It's quite another to try to take on Russia, Iran, or China.

It's becoming increasingly clear that Biden admin lives in a fantasy world.

it's clearly a lib channel, but still has useful info, my fav part was them acknowledging how making durable phones that last is at odds with capitalist incentives

I doubt it, China can see what's happening with western economies right now just like everyone else, and it doesn't take a genius to realize that western advice isn't worth the paper it's written on. Furthermore, having savings is obviously important when the global economy is headed for turbulent times, without savings there's no ability to amortize economic impact of a downturn. So, I think there's zero chance that China would start cutting their savings rate nw.

Looks like Russians pinned a bunch of Ukrainian forces around Chasov Yar after the Avdeevka breakthrough. This is a critical problem for Ukraine because there aren't any fortification in depth, so losing these strongholds means Russia would be easily able to advance all the way to Dnepr. As a result, Ukraine threw their best brigades to try and slow down Russian advance at all costs. Now it looks like Russia is opening up a second front from the north, and we'll see if Ukraine has the resources to fight on both fronts or whether they'll be forced to sacrifice one to try and hold the other. Of course, if Russia makes a major breakthrough in either area then it's likely that the whole front is going to start collapsing anyways. The next few weeks might be a pivotal moment in the war.

It's probably worth waiting a few days to see how this develops, but definitely looks that it could be significant. Russian approach has been generally very cautious, so they might just be probing right now. However, if Ukraine is really as short on manpower and ammunition as they appear to be, then Russia might start a serious offensive.

I guess that all depends on what Russia decides

Yeah fair, I just thought this was more funny than anything else.
