For anyone who might have missed it last week, I wrote an article about why I switched from Gmail to Proton Mail and you can read it and hopefully share it with others via the link below.
@protonmail also suggested that I apply for the partner program, which I did but haven't heard back yet. Hoping to hear back in the next day or two and hoping that I get accepted.
@cliffwade@protonmail I do wonder about changing. I would like to move away from Google, but need to be certain that it is going to last and not be subject to the usual problems.
@SteveClough Proton has been around for a lot of years, something like 6 - 8 years? Someone else might correct me, but I feel it's not going anywhere at all.
@protonmail@cliffwade In fairness, I have heard a lot of good things about Proton. I was asking partly to see if there were any similar comparable services.
@cliffwade@protonmail I switched from gmail to proton mail long ago and I have no regrets. Proton is a good company and has excellent customer support. Unlike gmail you can find a real person to help you.
@case2tv I have no complaints. The one time I had a problem, they got back to me within 24 hours. And my problem was not their fault, i didn't understand one of the features and they were very helpful. The following day they sent a an email asking if the issue had been resolved and if I needed further assistance. Gmail on the other hand--there is absolutely no one there to help...might as well be talking to a brick wall.@cliffwade@protonmail
@protonmail You are welcome. Thanks for providing excellent support staff. They were most helpful and very polite. I am not one who often recommends people to companies but I always suggest Proton when people are complaining about their email services provider because I have been more than satisfied. I also like your VPN service.@case2tv@cliffwade
