@rbreich Trump embraces political violence and the people who commit it.
Pardoning and saluting people who commit political violence shows dangerous extremism.
Trump is only running for President to help himself, reward his friends, and punish his enemies. Trump pledges to pardon violent criminals before helping the rest of us.
@rbreich There is more to fascism than an authoritarian leader who will do what must be done. Fascism is an economic system that organizes the society as a single organism. It organizes the workers and their managers in corporations, basically unions but based on class collaboration not class conflict. Another part of the fascist system is a large public sector to take care of the people, fascist italy had an extremely large public sector second only to the USSR. The other component of fascism is collectivism, the idea that the individual is subordinate to the collective, and that collectives must be equal, which requires that some groups be uplifted and others crushed without regard for the individuals in those groups. In many ways fascism is just honest socialism. The final component is the fusion of corporations and the state.
@rbreich Stop with the click bait. He said he "won't be a dictator, except for day one. We're gonna close the borders and drill, drill, drill." I understand taking Trump out of context is one of your only sources of content, but at least be honest.
@rbreich No, Trump is a deflector. He knows he has problems and the only way he was gonna hide in plain sight from his problems and get away was by achieving the highest office in the land. Within that capacity, he would be untouchable. Who really wants to send a former American president to prison? There is no precedent for that and he knows it would be a bad look.
@rbreich Yes! But also I feel uncomfortable clicking, and spreading, a link that will let another fascist track me. If you can find a way to link directly I'd appreciate that. Thanks!
