@indivisibleteam I signed then saw this from 7 years ago. https://time.com/4430359/donald-trump-intelligence-briefing-petition/
A petition to stop Trump from getting intelligence briefings got over 97,000 signatures in response to Trump’s call for Russia to spy on Clinton’s emails.
Harry Reid "Don’t tell him anything, just fake it, because this man is dangerous.”
Paul Ryan “I think the DNI, Clapper, should deny Hillary Clinton access to classified information during this campaign given how she so recklessly handled classified information.”
Briefings are usually offered to the president-elect before inauguration, regardless of party. But not simply to a party's nominee. Briefing a party nominee would be exposing classified information to individuals who would never become president. Jill Stein may become the Green Party nominee. RFKjr (Independent) and Chase Oliver (Libertarian Party). Nominees aren't given access to classified information.
