Online platforms must be accountable for ensuring safer, more transparent online spaces.
As of next week, adult entertainment platforms Pornhub, Stripchat and Xvideos will have to comply with the most stringent obligations under the Digital Services Act, including:
Submitting risk assessment reports
Putting in place mitigation measures to address systemic risks
Complying with additional transparency obligations
Meanwhile disastrous EU regulation like #uploadfilters, #linktax and the #DSA primarly serve to weaken smaller companies and actors, leading to an even worse environment for any and and all european digital businesses.
Please do us a favour and stop regulating... your regulation in the last 15 years only made my life as a user and as a citizen worse.
@EU_Commission what about the mainstream platforms? Porn can’t be a scapegoat for big tech platforms issues.
Those are the ones we as Europe shall enforce stricter policies, since those are the main ones dealing damage to the Europeans.
Such companies can’t overcome the supremacy of Europe Union in Europe. The parliament existence and obligations shall have as highest priority the guarantees of Europeans.
If by this such platforms threat leaving European market, then even better for us because we would have the opportunity of creating instances on federated networks leading to more development of it or maybe coming with innovative networking solutions that respect our solid standards.
