Rewatching Dream of Splendor right now and remember what a beautifully made drama this was. I grieve a little because so many directors rarely bother to make #CDramas of this quality anymore. 😭
If you have not watched this yet, do try. It's a quality drama
Awww, the guy is trying to take the blame. He is so obvious.
Holy... That's some serious commitment to murder :yor_knife:
Ah Fei saves the day again :akko_fingerguns:
Yes, I knew it was all of them. This is murder on the Orient Express 101 :blobfoxthinkanime:
The princess feels excluded. She would have loved taking part in murder :akko_think:
Come on dude, it was such an obvious trap...
Why are Li Lian Hua's explanations always so absurd :akko_giggle:
Princess Zhaoling is officially my favourite character after this arc. Poor Fang doesn't know what to do :zerotwoevillaugh:
I really hope they will get married in the end :asuka_smirk:
Late #MLCWatchParty this week, but now I'm on vacation and I can catch up.
The suspect in the cave is Fang Duo Bin fiancée, called it.
Lol, she is so sassy, I'm loving it :anya_smug:
"Is there someone that can fly so well?", then Fei comes in flying :zerotwoevillaugh:
So is the mystery how the body was dismembered with no weapons? And of course there is a ghost story :blobfoxghostspooky:
All this dismemberment business makes me suspect of body swapping :bunhdthinking:
The dead guard was a pervert, can this place become even worse?
Ok, I take it back, it did.
Ooh, that's why it's called the hash slash :akko_think:
Oh, no. They are suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
Could it be... that the girls are the actual culprits? The one that was dancing all night could have attached the vine rope :blobfoxthinkanime:
#CDramas can go downhill towards the end fast, so I prayed that #AJourneyToLove could retain its quality till the very end. We are finally at the final week. I am happy to report that it's still good. Then again, there are 6 episodes left & things could still go wrong. 😅
So 🙏 pray that we get a satisfying ending, whether it's a happy one or not. None of that open ended nonsense pls!
While I'm waiting for the last episodes of "Love You, Love My Voice", I have begun watching "Wonderland of Love" 🌸 It zips along nicely and the interactions between Xu Kai and Jing Tian are very heartwarming. I haven't made it to the romance yet, but they already have chemistry and they respect each other.
This drama was recommended to me and thank you for that. The drama hasn't had much publicity but it is good all the same.
#AJourneyToLove is still going strong for me. I keep waiting for that other shoe to drop - either it slides in quality or everyone dies or something, but on the whole it has been a fun #Wuxia with a surprising number of funny moments and great fight scenes. Have not watched a #CDrama this fun in a long while, but then it has all my favourite tropes - brotherhood, strong female leads 😁 Also, I like that the woman is the one doing the pursuing here!
#AJourneyToLove is my dark horse #Cdrama of 2023. I didn't recognize the leads, the story line didn't sound promising, but it's so good!
It's talking about themes of forgiveness, and why war is bad for everyone, and accountability of the rich. It's subversive Found Family with assassins in love.
Have just started watching "Love Me, Love My Voice" 🌸 I needed a light, romantic drama after some heavy dramas. It is already very sweet without too many ridiculous tropes so far.
Currently watching this #Wuxia drama, #AJourneyToLove & I love it. There are assassins, imperial guards and a princes! The image makes it look like a light-hearted comedy - it is, but it is more than that.
After #StoryOfKunningPalace it is really good to hop onto something I enjoy almost immediately. #AJourneyToLove has Magnificent Seven vibes - a group of men sent to protect a princess and rescue and emperor. There's a surprising amount of humor in this drama too.
Written by the screenwriter for A Dream of Splendor, another stellar drama, so I have hope this will turn out well.
#AJourneyToLove is one of those rare #CDramas with gorgeous cinematography. Saw the first episode and was immediately hooked. Assassins, embroidered guards, spies, oh my! Trying to control myself and stockpile the episodes so that I don't have to wait too long for new episodes 😁
Li Lianhua telling his former girlfriend that he is happier now cooking, gardening, and sewing (not mentioning he's doing all this with Puppy) is Big Gay Energy.
Prettttttty sure that when the new Sigu Sect leader showed up at the grave with a sword, he wasn't just there to pay his respects.
But literally telling Li Lianhua to jump off a cliff was unexpected!
Double unexpected was Li Lianhua's sword flying out of his sleeve and then WRAPPING AROUND the other guy's sword. That's some flexible metal!
Li Lianhua saying the other dude "improved a lot" is such dirty shade, I love it.
Oh, Puppy, restoring faith in Li Lianhua about himself and his legend, reassuring him that he wasn't perfect but had good intentions that are worth emulating.
Puppy is too pure.
"Don't underestimate me. Cherish me!" 😊
Oh, Puppy. "It's OK if you don't consider me a friend, but don't treat me like a child. And stop playing tricks on me." 💔
"A new friend. My best friend." I think Puppy's heart just exploded.
"I have even more cool stuff in my warehouse! Follow me..." wow, kidnapping young women and having them "serve" in an unknown location to male guests, getting graded on how well they are at it... fuckin' sleazy and creepy and scary and downplayed way too much how terrible that is in real life. Mr. Mountains Red is hopefully the next power-hungry asshole that our detectives take down. Preferably in a painful and embarrassing way.
I don't know that I've seen Li Lianhua give a friendly, reassuring smile like this to anybody so far, but he gives it to the princess. He must believe her... #cdrama#MLCWatchParty#MysteriousLotusCasebook
