You mean the tens of thousands Palestinian civilians that Israel captures, tries in a military court with no civil rights or representation, tortures into false confessions, and incarcerates with routine torture, sexual abuse, and denial of basic medical care? Under Ahmed Yassin in the 1990's, truces were offered in exchange for Israeli to withdrawal from Gaza and the West Bank to the 1967 borders. The 2017 Revised charter explicitly accepts a Two-State Solution of the 1967 Borders. Check Article 7 and 13 of the 1988 Charter to see yourself, compare it to Article 20 and 24-26 in the revised charter.

Hamas certainly tortures and kills political rivals, and has been exposed for corruption. In addition, Fatah is also corrupt, seen as working at the behest of Israel at the expense of Palestinians in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. Both have been funded by Israel as part of a Divide and Conquer tactic. Israel also has a long history of assassinating more moderate and leftist political Palestinian rivals.

Camp Davis and the Oslo Accords were a way for Israel to change the De Facto annexation of the West Bank into a De Juro annexation. While giving the PA a 'semblence' of a state still under Israeli Military Control. There was no offer of a sovereign state, nor of right of return. Arafat didn't reject a Two-State Solution, he walked away from a verbal 'offer' of taking 90% (later ~80% once written up in Oslo) of the Occupied Palestinian Territories, while ignoring all Palestinian wants such as Right of Return and Sovereignty with an end to Occupation.

The Israeli imposed closure on Gaza began in 1991, temporarily, becoming permanent in 1993. The barrier began around Gaza around 1972. After the 'disengagement' in 2007, this turned into a full blockade; where Israel has had control over the airspace, borders, and sea. Under the guise of 'dual-use' Israel has restricted food, allocating a minimum supply leading to over half of Gaza being food insecure; construction materials, medical supplies, and other basic necessities have also been restricted. This has been a deliberate tactic of De-development.

With the Blockade, Israel controls all the sea, airspace, and border. Fishermen can't fish outside of 6-12 nautical miles before getting arrested or shot. Israel controls all travel in and out of Gaza. Over 60% of people were already food insecure before October 7th because Israel deliberately restricts food entering Gaza. Israel's policies of Water control left everyone in Gaza with half the water of the emergency WHO standards, now significantly less. Internationally, Gaza is recognized as Occupied.

Israel has shut off all food, water, electricity, and aid to Gaza. Because as occupiers they have that power over occupied territories. They've also repeatedly targeted refugee camps, hospitals, safe zones, and aid trucks.

Israel deliberately decided to occupy Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem in 1967. After being directly responsible for the expulsion of 800,000 Palestinians in 1948, many of which fled to those territories after having their homes and belongings destroyed during Plan Dalet. Since 1967, Israel has had control over Gaza as the Occupier, changing into a more brutal form of Occupation with the 2007 Blockade. Israel has been the one responsible for the de-development of Gaza. How can you possibly think Israel is 'supporting' Gaza?

The first image wasn't from Al Jazeera, and both provide factual information. If you want to dispute a piece of information in the images, say what in particular and back it up.

The Jewish exodus from Muslim Countries was indeed terrible. However, using it to legitimatize the Nakba or Apartheid is also terrible. Many prominent Israeli Historians criticize the "Jewish Nakba" narrative, as it's called has been called, as being worse than the Nakba. There were certainly pogroms, property confiscation, and deportations against Jews in Islamic countries (considered push factors) which led to Jewish refugees to leave against their will. Notably in Iraq, Egypt, and Syria. However many decided to emigrate on their own accord, able to sell their property and move voluntarily. I'm also not aware of any Jewish refugees that are denied the right of return or citizenship.

Yeah, I'm biased against genocide and Apartheid States, you got me there.

It's true they wanted it to be an Arab state, since the vast majority were Arab. It's not that they wanted 'non-arab immigrants' out, it's that Zionist Settler Colonialism was quite different from normal immigration. Instead of integration, the early land purchases led to the expulsion of tens of thousands of Palestinians in the early 1900's. Many Palestinians opposed the Zionist Land Purchases and Immigration because of fears they would be forced out of their homes and communities, not because they were Jewish.

That's not what I said. I specifically said that there were certainly Jewish refugees; especially from Egypt, Iraq, and Syria. Besides Syria, yes as far as I can tell they can freely return. That doesn't mean they would want to or that they should. UNHCR allows for repatriation for refugees, however as far as I'm aware the vast majority of Jewish refugees chose to live elsewhere due to persecution.

However, saying all 850,000 Jewish people from the exodus were refugees is simply not true. Many voluntarily left due to pull factors such as the desire to fulfill Zionism or finding a better economic status and a secure home in either Israel, Europe, or the Americas. Many were able to sell their homes and move to where they wanted to.

Historian Tom Segev stated: "Deciding to emigrate to Israel was often a very personal decision. It was based on the particular circumstances of the individual's life. They were not all poor, or 'dwellers in dark caves and smoking pits'. Nor were they always subject to persecution, repression or discrimination in their native lands. They emigrated for a variety of reasons, depending on the country, the time, the community, and the person."

Dehumanizing Israelis to justify their deaths isn't going to solve anything. Like with South Africa, international pressure and (at this point hopefully) intervention is necessary to force Israel as an apartheid state to dissolve and a new state with equal rights for all Palestinians and Israelis takes its place. Due to the Land Grabbing and violent settlers, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories are already a One-State Reality.

International Law is not a "novel legal theory," neither is Israel's institutionalized apartheid regime of systematic oppression and domination of Palestinians.

As outlined above, apartheid consists of a system of prolonged and cruel discriminatory treatment by one racial group of members of another with the intention to control the second racial group. This chapter examines the extent to which Israel has created such a system of oppression and domination over Palestinians in all areas under its jurisdiction and effective control, as well as over Palestinian refugees whose right of return to their homes remains controlled by Israel. It does so by first establishing Israel’s intent to oppress and dominate all Palestinians by establishing its hegemony across Israel and the OPT, including through means of demography, and maximizing resources for the benefit of its Jewish population at the expense of Palestinians. What a strange way to deny the ongoing reality of apartheid in Israel. You get that never even happened for South Africa right? By your arbitrary standards, South Africa wasn't an apartheid state either.

If you take a look at the ongoing human rights abuses, you can see exactly how the oppression of Palestinians have been institutionalized to maintain domination and supremacy. None of this is theoretical.

Unless you're in denial about the multiple international definitions of Apartheid, plus the multiple reports by human rights organizations going through those definitions along with decades of on-the-ground investigations, it's overwhelmingly clear that Israel is an Apartheid State.

Because if you did, you'd realize "as practiced in South Africa" is not a quote found within the entire Rome Statute. Nor is it in Article II of the Apartheid Convention. In the Rome Statute, you can find the Crime of Apartheid listed in Article 7, 2. h) as the following

"The crime of apartheid" means inhumane acts of a character similar to those referred to in paragraph 1, committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime

In the Apartheid Convention:

Article II then lists specific inhuman acts that committed in this context amount to the crime under international law of apartheid, ranging from violent ones such as murder and torture to legislative, administrative and other measures calculated to prevent a racial group or groups from participating in the political, social, economic and cultural life of the country and deny them basic human rights and freedoms.

Unless you meant to reference Article II of the ICSPCA, which lists the crime of apartheid as the following

the term 'the crime of apartheid', which shall include similar policies and practices of racial segregation and discrimination as practiced in southern Africa, shall apply to the following inhumane acts committed for the purpose of establishing and maintaining domination by one racial group of persons over any other racial group of persons and systematically oppressing them:

Every, international definition of Apartheid is about the inhumane acts for the establishment and maintaining of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination. That's what they are talking about "as practiced in South Africa" not your made up definition.

The defining policies of Apartheid are overwhelmingly present in Israel, for all three of the international definitions of Apartheid.

You can compare them in that they are both genocides. The Holocaust was certainly a genocide done on a much larger scale, especially near the end of Nazi Germany. Since Palestinians have no human or civil rights under Israeli Occupation, they can be detained and convicted with no to little evidence. Subject only to military courts they have no fair trial and it's quite normal to coerce (false) confessions. This includes children.

The Ethnic Cleansing, Apartheid, and Occupation didn't begin with Netanyahu. This is about Israeli governance (and violent settlers) not the normal Israeli population. There are more than a few that stand against the apartheid, and many are subject to propaganda that whitewashes the history of Israel. (Not unlike in the US, where the genocide of Native Americans is barely mentioned)

Hamas began twenty years into the occupation during the first Intifada, with the goal of ending the occupation. Collective punishment has been a deliberate Israeli tactic for decades with the Dahiya doctrine. Violence such as suicide bombings and rockets escalated in response to Israeli enforcement of the occupation and apartheid.

Hamas 1988 Charter and Revised 2017 Charter

The 1988 Charter, which is certainly unreasonable in its fundamentalism with Sharia Law and is antisemitic, does not call for the extermination of all Jewish People. Hamas wants an end to Israel as an Apartheid State, not an extermination of all Israelis. Under Ahmed Yassin in the 1990's, truces were offered in exchange for Israeli to withdrawal from Gaza and the West Bank to the 1967 borders. The 2017 Revised charter explicitly accepts a Two-State Solution of the 1967 Borders. Check Article 7 and 13 of the 1988 Charter to see yourself, compare it to Article 20 and 24-26 in the revised charter.

The slogan From the River to the Sea is about Palestinian liberation that started in the 60s by the PLO for a democratic secular state, not Genocide. The Syrian leader Hafez al-Assad in 1966 maybe, but he's not Palestinian.

The major difficulty of a Two-State Solution is that there isn't any reasonable way to give back Palestinian Land in the OPTs, because of how the West Bank has been divided and how many settlers there are. I consider Avi Shlaim and Ilan Papp experts on the history and details of Israel Palestine. I was also a proponent of a Two-State Solution until I learned the full reality of the settlements on-the-ground.

This wouldn't be like the resettlement of the 8,000 Israeli settlers in Gaza in 2005, which got resettled into the West Bank. The forced relocation of up to nearly 700,000 of settlers, many militant, in the West Bank and East Jerusalem isn't reasonable to me.

Alternatively, the de juro annexation of 60-88% of the West Bank also isn't reasonable.

On the other hand, a Binational Secular State would also solve the issue of the Palestinian refugee crisis by giving Right of Return for all Palestinians.

In the same period, the UN took a strong stand against apartheid; and over the years, an international consensus was built, which helped to bring an end to this iniquitous system.

But we know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians; without the resolution of conflicts in East Timor, the Sudan and other parts of the world.

It is the international definitions of apartheid that show that Israel is an apartheid state.

Mandela and South African leaders after him compared the restrictions Israel placed on Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank with the treatment of Black South Africans during apartheid, framing the two issues as fundamentally about people oppressed in their homeland. Israel provided weapons systems to South Africa’s apartheid government and maintained secret military ties with it up until the mid-1980s, even after publicly denouncing apartheid.

It was Zwelivelile Mandela who directly called Israel an Apartheid State.

Addressing a large audience, Mandela said that the Nation-State Law passed in 2018 declaring Israel to be the historical homeland of the Jewish people “confirmed what we have always known to be the true character and reality of Israel: Israel is an apartheid state”.

He also outlined what had constituted apartheid for black South Africans – from the creation of bantustan reservations to land expropriation and the daily assault on dignity.

“All these characteristics were present in apartheid Israel since its inception but have now been codified and given a constitutional status and expression by the Nation-State Law.

“Apartheid Israel perpetuates statutory discrimination through the very definition by the law as a Jewish state; by doing so it renders non-Jews as second-class citizens, alternately as foreigners in the land of their birth.”

You're supposed to be providing evidence that as originally understood and as codified into law, Israel is literally an apartheid state.

I have, the international definitions of Apartheid listed above. As well as the documentation of multiple Human Rights Organizations, that go through those international definitions, and give exhaustive details that show exactly how Israel fits the definition of Apartheid for every international definition.
