Daikon goes boom. Pak choi is on the way up with it. Gotta solve my soil issues before I put these down. Speaking of soil issues, I probably gotta start over on my squash bed. Nothing looks too happy in there and instead of watching it die a slow death, I'm just gonna direct sow everything after I get some amendments in with it....
I placed my radishes and carrots together in a bowl and than put them in rows, this year I am disregarding rows and was planning on broadcasting them in one bed, but I also want parsnips and trying to figure out if I can do the same since they are a frost harvest.
The radishes protect the carrots while they germinate and are harvested before the carrots need the space, it also aerates and loosens the soil for the carrots.
Of course! Started them about a month ago, and I’ll start hardening them off next week. I’ll even try planting some lettuce and peas and if I need to replant them it’s an experiment.
I’ve also got some clear containers that should work as a little cold frame for smaller seedlings if needed.
That’s the honesty I love seeing. You’re right, it could be done, but the effort for the extra week is just uggghh. And they aren’t hardened off yet anyways, so risk vs reward isn’t leaning that way. I’ve got some seeds I could risk though.
That day that’s rain and 5 above is just teasing snow without them saying it. The rain turned to snow for about 30 minutes this morning as well.
I dislike wordplays like this. So if BL4 has been announced by pitchford (gearbox) could this announcement be the same thing, but since it’s them announcing it it’s “new”?
Or is it actually something no one has previously confirmed.
I get they use wordplays specifically like this to be vague and leave more options for speculation though.
I’ve got the surgery referral and a steroid shot here shortly. The shot gave me a good month of what ever I wanted before I needed to start narrowing options down last time.
I can do stuff like turn based games with minor discomfort, painkillers aren’t the best option, but they help to get some fun once in a while though.
I’ve never saved fan leaves, if sugar leaves I do when I have the time, which I didn’t this time. Most are fine to smoke anyways, and it saves me time and pain.
I save my AVB from my vaporizer for that now, so not like I’m hurting for it or anything, but yes it’s a great idea to save the trim for butter.
It’s uhh not making me want to do much, which is exactly what I wanted. It’s fruity with a hint of spice, I’m enjoying it, can’t wait for a bit of a cure on her.
The growing season is so short here, you need to start them inside 2 months before planting them outside if you want them ready before the first frost in sept gets them.
I got sick a week and a half ago, so things got a little messy. We're back on schedule, tho. Kale has been the hero this season. Couple broccoli doing what I ask. Slugs got all my first round peppers, so on my back foot there....
Looking great growmie! Im still not gonna be in the ground till next week. Forecast is calling for frost this weekend still -.-‘ I should atleast have the beds ready hopefully haha
Gonna figure out some hoop tents or something for next year or for atleast end of season. Idk how lll do the tomatoes if I trellis them and they are tall, but lots of time still there.
That will be 5 if it happens, forecast isn’t really accurate more than 48 hours ahead.
The low tunnels wouldn’t work for Sept frost though, so I would like some kinda all-in-one solution, but for the tomatoes I was planing on having a bunch along the fence and use the fence as trellis support, but than can’t wrap the tomatoes.
That could work, but I was hoping for vertical and keep them north so they don’t take up a lot of space or shade much.
Once the sod is removed I dug out a shovels depth to till the soil and to mix in some gravel along with it, this is just to get rid of some other material and to help level support the bottom of the beds a little better.
Steel, I got them off of Amazon for about $160 CAD for a two pack. Doing each out of wood would have cost more. Can’t speak of longevity yet, it seems to be on the thinner gauge, but holding up well so far. Plant and plot brand.
I’m planning on some mulch or rock myself. Wife is think rock, so likely going rock haha.
Is that epoxy coated metal rebar? How’s it hold up? Or are they just plastic?
Still need to figure out my tomatoe supports, I’ve got cages but they failed last year. The beds are 2 feet wide I’m hoping I can put 2 tomato plants along the fence in a couple beds, also planning on doing peas in pots between the beds too. Lots of plans, we will see what actually comes to fruition.
You can get it At HD here, I checked the US store, but they don’t appear to have it? They have some nature coated I’ve never heard of and fiberglass, that may be a better option.
It being released in a essentially a beta state with a terrible UI? half the loot being a bitch to access because you always cast igni? Game breaking bugs and glitch’s? Hard crashes?
I don’t think they have released one game that was actually release ready yet.
CP2077 was far worse, but that doesn’t mean the Witcher 3 was okay, it was still absolutely botched.
It’s more like both are tornados and one is an F3 and the other being an F5. You’re being disingenuous in defending CDPR for continually inexcusable work.
An industry standard bad? What’s that even mean? At that point in time games were shipping complete still and not in a beta state.
Its always hilarious the excuses people come up with, neither are excusable, yet here you are justifying one… yeesh, give your head a shake.
I didn’t know a a progress breaking bug at 80 hours in is annoying…? That falls in the latter, non-functional. What about not being able to pick up loot? That’s non-functional…. You’re excusing shitty devs lmfao, this isn’t about good or bad, this is all shades of shit, or like I said previously tornadoes.
Sounds like you just aren’t educated on what the issues actually were, rose coloured glasses or something…. So not only disingenuous now.
Someone was asking me about pests. These have spider mites, they're not super bad but I'm going to spray neem oil anyway. It's not ideal but my ecosystem doesn't have any spider mites predators right now so it's really my only current solution. I'm not interested in non-native predators but if anyone has a line on some Illinois...
I’ve reveged after flowering completely before. Also monstercropped both were fun adventures.
And yeah they’ll go back to veg and looking really rough, single bladed leafs, no seration. After that, you get your entire regular veg (good fucking luck start cutting last week) and than she’ll stretch again, and you’ve got a very good idea how much right now haha.
I was surprised by how easy it was to keep weeds down with a maintained yard. I need to pull maybe a dozen dandelions in the backyard each year. The city also doesn’t spray the fields for broadleaf anymore, so it’s rampant on streets.
No different than using a back to pick up dog shit, your hand is the drum, you’ve eaten burgers or hand food before yeah? Or do you not eat with your hand out of principle too?
It’s always a matter of perspective, yet in the end it doesn’t make a difference, you’re making a choice over some arbitrary distinction. If this container were just mildly rusty, no one would balk at using it for water, yet rust would be just as dangerous to congest in the end.
Sorry the entire premises you’ve based the argument on is entirely flawed, there is no huge difference. It’s I don’t understand the principles at play, so I’m gonna make arbitrary distinctions to make myself feel better.
I just find it funny where people draw arbitrary lines. Rusty container, put the bag in and LFG, maybe touched some poop, yuck I would never. Both are just as dangerous to consume, yet neither matter with the bag. Yet that’s what people would justify to use when rusty. Shits hilarious.
Wait until people figure out or remember where river water comes from….
I'm naming it Smoke on the Water because obviously I am, but I don't want to smash a champagne bottle because I don't drink. What's something pot related I can do instead?
Starting to get amber, probably won’t make it to next weekend, but there’s some rain in the forecast, so probably harvest this instead of working outside next week.
I have most of the upper opening closed and the exhaust filter pulls from the top. So most of the fresh air enters under the canopy, I have a humidifier and fan to mix that air around. Couple grows ago I didn’t install the upper canopy fan and lost some colas to budrot.
