I finally quit call centre work and am starting a TAFE course that will lead me to working in an industry that I've wanted to be in since I was in HS.

Am getting back on the therapy wagon after a hiatus.

Seeing my dad more often, as he's the only parent I talk to and I love him, involving overcoming my own feelings of failure and not being good enough

The cat is.... A cat. I usually get up at 6am on the weekdays and help my partner get up and ready for work. I tend to give the cat some food around the same time.

Well, he was pawing and scratching at the closet and my face at 6am. So I get up and put some food out, but he wasn't hungry apparently. So I laid down on the couch and he just jumped up and fell asleep between my legs.

Asshole. Smart, dumb asshole.

This, I think, is the Moon's terminator. The boundary of what's lit up by sunlight and what's not in the sunlight. So this is just all Moon, with no night sky visible.

To take pictures of the stars, you would need a camera on a really long exposure, at the very least. They're so very faint; even then they wouldn't look too different to how we see them with our eyes.

It's hard enough trying to take a picture of planets past Saturn/Uranus. They're so distant. You'd need what astronomers use to see any details. So far away, and so faint.

It's because you can access Lemmy from other fediverse sites, like Mastodon. Iirc, Mastodon is like Twitter, so when replying to a thread or comment, the reply will @ the users they are responding to

That end boss rebel flagship is wild! Barely did anything to it. Then my partner got home and was like "you know it has three phases?" And my head exploded hahaha

I love rogue-likes/lites and sci-fi, so this is right up my alley. The last time I had this much fun was Binding of Isaac (hands-down my favourite).

It seems to have a wild difficulty curve, even on easy, but focusing on a specific build seems to help. It's addictive after a bit. Make use of the pause function and help distress signals for free-ish upgrades for sure

Gosh, ever read The Silmarillion, that's scripture at the start. And then you get into his letters and it's retcons for daaaayyyys. And the insane fans will just rip you to shreds if you haven't read the letters.

I've read The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and The Lord of The Rings; I'm not gonna read his freaking letters too, or his son's.

If you're able to, get a copy of The Soddit and/or The Sellamillion by Adam Roberts. They're hilarious parodies that I love too, I still quote The Soddit. Don't mind the insane fans, they're ridiculous people lol

Regarding bins: I miss having a garbage chute, or wheelie bins to take to the curb. My apartment building has a dumpster room downstairs but I have to lug my bags of trash and kitty litter down too it. I have no idea when "bin day" is anymore, and taking recycling down is a pain.

Try to rest if you can, and keep a good sleep schedule. It's too easy to slip into bad sleeping habits.

I deffo reccomend getting her to help with the back; I re-did my undercut today and knew I went a bit too high when some of my long hair came off too 😂 I measure with my finger but obviously not well. Partner came home and confirmed it's just a bit arched at the back slightly.

Getting her to check the back will ensure it's an even shave!
