When I duplicate a tab, a new tab is created with the same URL and I have to wait for it to download again. Why wouldn't Firefox just duplicate all the data of the tab into a new tab?
I've received complaints about spamming posts so I added the instance names in the titles. I thought there's no harm in posting crossposting, I know Lemmy is federated but I want to ensure they show up instead of hoping for automatic feed algorithm to show them when it may or may not.
IDK why I so much flak. If any here downvotes my posts or this comment please respond below with your thoughts to help me figure out how to move forward.
I didn't know setTimeout() worked in background scripts. If setInterval() works, too, then this could be done every 15 minutes or whatever interval would be sensible for user styles.
Addons have to implement their own ways to backup and import data, it can be very tedious to do so when using multiple or switching profiles. It wouldn't be possible to just copy and paste profile folders, like from Firefox Nightly to regular Firefox (since the Firefox version is too new), from Firefox to Floorp, or vice versa...

Edit:. I got it working now, I had to apply the changes described here, and I had extracted the utils into the chrome folder instead of into chrome/utils like I was supposed to....
I saw this was posted yesterday but when I emptied the extensions.webextensions.restrictedDomains preference in about:config and restarted FF, I still couldn't get Vimium to work on addons.mozilla.org. I want all addons to work on all domains, is there a solution for that?
I should not be a few keystrokes away from accidentally deleting all of today's entries with no confirmation if I'm sure, and no way to recover them, even if I close the browser in the same second. I don't even know which ones I hit.

For instance, in the settings page for Tab Session Manager, you can click an upload button to upload JSON session files from your device to the addon. I looked up if UBlock Origin Lite (the re-implementation of UBlock Origin with Manifest v3) supports custom filter lists and all the results said no it can't due to the...

Personally I'm pretty frustrated with the way it works. I've noticed all of the following , and at least some of these apply to dev tools too. I don't like the way Google controls the internet with Chrome, but at least its dev tools just work....

Firefox@lemmy.ml: Any addons or scripts that allow for clicking on Twitter posts to open them in new tabs, or show a right-click context menu item "Open link in new tab"?
When I click on a post in a twitter feed it opens it in the same tab when I want to open it in a new tab, and continue scrolling the feed.

Any way to make Firefox remember what time I pause videos at after closing their tabs?
For instance, I watch a video on Shout Factory and then pause, close the tab and when I go back to the link it goes back to where I left off.
