    Our twins and our agent saw the house. We FaceTimed from Oregon. 👎🏻 Big disappointment. We’ll explore more homes when we get to BC. Not expecting to buy anything this trip.

    Our kids are up there to see it Sat. when it lists for real, getting lots of interest, it will sell & we still need to drive up, which takes 3 days (we don't fly w Hammy), so we gotta move FAST.

    Inexorable. It's a wonderful word whose origins apparently trace back to the mid 16th century.

    The Latin antecedent of inexorable is inexorabilis, which is itself a combination of the prefix in-, meaning "not," plus exorabilis, meaning "pliant" or "capable of being moved by entreaty."

    I like to think of this word in the modern context: In-XOR-able.

    You’ve inspired me to use it in a sentence: inexorable

    Because of Speaker Johnson’s inexorable refusal to allow a vote on Ukraine aid, he seems completely controlled by trump/putin. Thus, all the many voices of reason and all of the evidence presented of a dire situation, which is bad for our country’s interests as well, has fallen on deaf ears. He cannot be convinced to act because he is only a pawn in this inexorable march of the fascist gop.

    So I’ve read a dozen articles now about Smirnov and every single one of them has had no photo of Smirnov. Most show Hunter Biden. A few show the GOP traitors. There were a couple photos of documents….so I googled ‘Alexander Smirnov photo’ and only got a bunch of Hunter Biden pics! Is there a reason for not putting a face next to the name of the informant?

    So wrong on so many levels. It’s sickening to read all day about the past, present, and future harm that these people have done to our institutions. Much of it irreparable and some not even fully known. Maybe this tells us something about how our archives were/are handled, and why it took so long to get some traction and urgency over there to confront her husband’s mishandling, destroying, stealing of OUR property! The limited, delayed pushback echoes in this ghastly decision.
