I'd heard about the price war between BYD and Tesla, but I'd never actually seen any of the BYD cars because they're banned in the US. Some influencer imported one and did a review and now I'm pretty sure the ban is the only thing keeping Tesla alive

From what I read Microsoft and Apple will add LLM shenanigans deeply into their OSes this year. Will be a wild three year ride until they remove it again after the hype is over.

Very interesting discussion.

Apart from my opinion on how ChatGPT, the AI Hype just works towards more codified bureaucracy and plays into the hand of future governments unhinged from any true social means, I found all the output in terms of code snippets less than underwhelming.

So, not everyone in tech as tried out ChatGPT for something productive …

@hukl @ewolff @moonglum And that usecase is atm the one I can get behind (natural to (some) structured (query) language), way more than natural to imperative code.

Your previous screenshot: Yeah well, that excites me little to not at all, maybe personal taste, idk. I prefer books and actual conversations for that.
