So has those feeds that subscribe to the bluesky firehose of posts and then ignore any post that doesnt match the filter, anyone know if there's an easy way to subscribe to relays and send specific posts to my mastodon instance, because I can't afford to subscribe to and store every post on a relay, but if I filter it out to only include hashtags I follow that's much more manageable

@phi1997 @tom I don't think they can, there's a similar project called Ship of Harkinian for Ocarina of Time that's been around a few years.

Neither of them include any actual resources from the games so it's not illegal (I guess that doesn't mean nintendo won't try, but they haven't yet w/ OoT)

@hitstun @Knifffelix @pokemon @fediplayspokemon I don't think we'll be able to cancel the evolution, I'm pretty sure you have to press B multiple times during the evolution and I think the way it's set up it'll just skip over that process

I think @phi1997 was experimenting with the saves, we might be able to save the game and reload it, but it'd be difficult to pull off

Time and time again, we are reminded that we shouldn't trust closed platforms to own our networks.

Once Fediverse Threads arrives, do yourself a favor and - at the least - back up your following graph on a regular basis. As a Plan B, you'll be able to migrate your profile to another social web platform, even if it's a temporary profile while you sort things out here.

If someone as high profile as @mgsiegler can't easily resolve this, you most certainly will not either.

@benlk I'd prefer it if they made a movie in a completely different era unrelated to the main trilogy. Similar to what they did with Rogue One- takes place in the universe but an entirely standalone story

But I'll take a Peter jackson directed LoTR movie any day

@hitstun @pokemon I think it's an issue with computerfairi.es's cache/storage of (maybe just remote) media rather than mastodon. generic Mastodon should support up to 16mb images and 99mb videos

Either way it's still being converted to an MP4 file which should not be causing media issues. Unless the filesize is much bigger than expected, the image was marginally larger than my older images

I don't think that entirely explains it, I was just showing why the video won't be able to show transparency, I'm pretty sure mastodon converts it to an MP4 before federating it so everyone would get that mp4 file.

Your issue's probably unrelated as I was already removing transparency from the images before they got converted to the mp4. My guess is this is something specifically going on w/ your instance, it looks like it's failing to upload the video to the server's cached media which might be because of its size(?) or it could just be a temporary issue your server's experiencing right now.

I'll try shrinking the image at some point and see if that fixes it
