I need a recommendation for a fun#cdrama#kdrama#jdrama#ThaiDrama to watch. I am stuck with too many drama-dramas and need something fun. Otherwise, I will end up watching "Falling Into Your Smile" for the eleventh time this year (probably not an exaggeration).
Things I like: characters and their relationships to each other! "Semantic Error" has fun and doesn't take itself too seriously.
Things I'm not interested in: procedurals, horror, gritty violence (but "Alice In Borderland" was good)
Thanks for the recommendation. Something funny sounded good. So I just watched the 1st episode of “I Picked Up a Star on the Road” - although on my Viki, it was called “I Picked Up a Celebrity “
I love dark humor & this looks promising. I’ve already LOL a handful of times from the physical humor & the FL seeming to be a psychopath.
@jillithd hmmm. I’m pretty sure you’ve seen Love Sceney? And I think you’re also watched You Are My Glory (and I’m certain you’ve watched Love 02O) … what about King’s Avatar (oops, all of these revolve around gaming!)? Triad Princess is silly fun, The Perfect Match is great (but more drama-y), Super Me is a movie that’s worth checking out. Accidentally In Love is good fun. I Hear You is Zhao Lu Si so is automatically good. Have you seen Romance of Tiger and the Rose - that is brilliant fun.
@jillithd Have you seen 'Miraculous Brothers' on Netflix yet? It's not too heavy, part fantasy, mystery, a lot of Bro- love. Good acting, nice story line. 👍#kDrama#netflix
@jillithd Did you get a chance to watch Wedding Plan?
It technically has a spoiler for Love In The Air, but only technically. Shocker of shocks, relationship configurations happen in a show about relationships.
Anyway, it's much lighter than LITA, in multiple ways. It also makes cute, if arguably "silly", aesthetic choices, like stylized text popping up about how someone who is a character's type has returned, along with a cloud heart from his chest.
@jillithd I've been slowly watching "Tale of the Nine Tails." It was originally recommended to me by @ChefWritesAllot a while ago.
It's not a comedy, but it's pretty light and focuses on character relationships. It sometimes veers a bit too far into the romance genre, but I can live with that. Each episode is at least an hour, which is great, and I'm just generally having fun with it.
@liztai@bertramditore@jillithd I have the sequel in my queue. I have been hooked on BL dramas lately. I just finished My Personal Weatherman. Loved that we learn about them at the same pace they discover more things about each other.
@jillithd oh no! Here comes trouble. It's a Taiwanese drama. I consider it the best drama I've enjoyed watching this year. It will make you cry! But it will also make your heart warm.
@jillithd ah forgot to add. It's quite comedic but with a very good balance with the drama. And it's just, very full of heart. It's a story about a boy who has some sorta supernatural ability with calligraphy, and manifestations of human's obsessions going to this boy to seek help.
