It would only take less than 7 days on average for people in Gaza to meet that death toll. Not counting West Bank. And most of them were women and children.
In a BBC documentary on 🇵🇸, the journalist asked a group of (WB) Palestinian kids: have any of you had the experience of a family member or friend being killed due to the violence here?
Their responses: “Do you mean this year?”
When it was clarified that the journalist was asking “in general”, the unanimous answer was: everyone, everyone has had that experience.
Israel is committing one of the worst atrocities in modern history.
The attack on Rafah is unlawful and monstrous.
The "evacuation plan" is a bad joke. There are no services or safety in an already overcrowded area.
Even if moving somewhere else was a possibility, there has not been enough time for a hundred thousand of hungry, sick and scared people, mostly children, to move.

I would not be surprised if the death toll in Gaza is closer to 300k than 30k. Especially at this point when so many have been intentionally starved to death. We know that there is no longer a system in place to count the dead and so the "death toll" has stalled while the killing has been escalated.
Palestinians in the West Bank have also been killed, kidnapped, and tortured—and few are factoring in those casualties.
