LOL. F&F Entertainment provided a new set of fandom names to choose from because the community reacted badly with the first set.

  1. INIS (아이니스 [ai-ni-seu])
  2. INUS (이너스 [i-neo-seu])
  3. EverAfter (에버애프터 [e-beo-ae-peu-teo])
  4. UNING (유닝 [yu-ning])
  5. TELLER (텔러 [ter-reo])
  6. LETTER (레터 [re-teo])
  7. MENIS (미니스 [mi-ni-seu])

It's worse! LOL.

There is only one that makes sense:

    1. EverAfter (에버애프터 [e-beo-ae-peu-teo])

  1. INIS (아이니스 [ai-ni-seu])
I love, short for UNIS, means people who love Eunice

Me: In Korean, it's ay-nis not i-nis. Two different readings.

Also, for Filipinos, “inis” means “annoyed”.

  1. INUS (이너스 [i-neo-seu])
It is a compound word of IN + US, meaning people who are together inside Eunice and each other

Me: Planet uraNUS? But instead of your a-nus, it's I-NUS? Haha. Haters will surely call the fandom ANUS.

  1. UNING (유닝 [yu-ning])
This is a combination of UNIS + ing, meaning that we are always together on Eunice's journey

Me: A cat? Regardless, it doesn't have any catchy sound in it.

  1. TELLER (텔러 [ter-reo])
Borrowing from Storyteller, it means writing Eunice's story with fans

Me: ATM? Cashier?

  1. LETTER (레터 [re-teo])
Eunice's journey is a story, but the journey with the fans means that she will write down her love like a letter

Me: It's so hard to use that name in other ways. (See my choice later.)

  1. MENIS (미니스 [mi-ni-seu])
In the opposite of UNIS, it means you and I, Eunice and fans are together

Me: Mens? Like, man or menstruation?

Also, the Korean reading sounds like the Chinese brand Miniso. Are we going to promote Miniso? Hehe.

  1. EverAfter (에버애프터 [e-beo-ae-peu-teo])
Borrowed from Happily ever after, the story Eunice and fans will write means they are always happy

Me: The only logical choice. In addition to that, it's easy to play with it.

For example, the current contract of UNIS is only 2 years and 6 months. The fandom can say, “We will be EverAfter with you, UNIS!”

F&F Entertainment sure is pouring everything they have to make a huge success in just 2.5 years (2 years and 6 months).

They extended UNIS fan meeting and signing event in the for another day. Originally only two days, today being the last.

Their Philippine partner, CDM Entertainment, created a very expensive way for fans to get sign access, talk face-to-face access, and high-five access, and it's all sold-out!

CDM Entertainment also did a “highest spender” battle, and a lot of fans bought a lot to maintain their position.

As far as I can remember, this is unheard of in the Philippines. “Highest spender” style came from the J-pop culture, and it rarely works in the Philippines. But this time, fans did spend thousands upon thousands of Pesos (₱) to maintain their spot (it was moving a lot). And this is per day of event!

Two of the members of the new K-pop "idol" group, UNIS / U&iS, are pure Filipino, they are "Elisia" and Gehlee.

But how do you pronounce their names?

If you write their names in Hangul, you can get the pronunciation correctly.

  • Elisia = 엘리시아 = e·li·si·a = eh-lee-si-ah (not e-lai-sha)
  • Gehlee = 젤리 = je·li = je-lee (sounds like jelly)

P.S. Happy Birthday Elisia!

Or, in Filipino, Maligayang Kaarawan Elisia!

  • Maligaya (ma-lee-ga-ya) = happy
  • Kaarawan (ka-ah-ra-wan) = birthday, anniversary

"Maligayang kaarawan", when used in context to refer to a single person, is generally understood as "happy birthday".

After reviewing the performances of , I can truly say that they have a huge potential to be the spiritual successor of / . That happening lies on F&F Entertainment's people. The UNIS members are all ready to take that mantle.

They also can become the spiritual successor of the original .

F&F Entertainment recently announced that will debut this coming March 27th.

It will be F&F Entertainment's first group and first girl group. F&F Entertainment is a subsidiary of the clothing brand, F&F.

The UNIS line-up is half-foreign, half-Korean: 2x Japanese; 3x Koreans; 1x half-Filipino/Korean; 2x Filipinos. They were from the talent search / survival show which concluded back in January.

This will also be the first time, as far as I know, that we will see a medium-to-dark brown member in the K-pop industry, which the judges, like , super liked.

The members have a 2½ years contract with the possibility of extending it. Currently, they are more popular abroad (outside ). Thus, it remains to be seen how they will fare in 's K-pop idol scene; as that market is the primary basis for K-pop success (not foreign countries).

F&F Entertainment is also planning debut tours(?) in the and , where 4 of their members (2x respectively) hails from.

I think their success abroad is already a given, thus, F&F Entertainment may want to plan on targeting foreign markets as Plan B if they happen to not get highly ranked in the South Korean market. For one, their planned date is in-between the debut of new groups (March) and the comebacks of powerhouses (April).
