Isn't the hippocampus where short-term memory is stored? Why did the #Kdrama#QueenOfTears#눈물의여왕 said it is for long-term #memory? It's also actually stored in parts of the brain, the hippocampus only acts as a catalyst to store, not access, right?
Based on what I've noted down, the hippocampus deals with all things explicit memory, but I think it is more related to the handling of long term memory, as short term memory is handled elsewhere I believe.
I didn't do great in psychology so don't take my word for it though 😂
A quick Google search does agree with what you've said, however it also agrees in saying that the hippocampus helps consolidate it into long term memory.
@EllenInEdmonton If currently airing, I recommend "The Missing Crown Prince". It's Joseon period, a Royal family drama basically (not exactly the usual political drama). Currently 4 episodes, so far so good. The ML is an EXO member.
If you like a daily family drama, there is Sooji & Woori (others list it as Su Ji & Wu Ri). The FL is EunJung of T-ara. Episode 20 airing a few hours from now.

Haha, that was a rhetorical question! But yes, I'm also watching the #CurrentlyAiring#MissingCrownPrince, which is very good quality. Unfortunately, I'm also watching 2 other sageuks so I'm a bit confused about which dowager queen and left-state minister is which but that doesn't detract too much from the main action.
And then, there's the amazing #QueenOfTears, #TheMidnightStudio, and #Misty. I seem to have enough on the go at the moment! #kdrama
True, I experienced that confusion a few months ago, I can't remember which shows, but I kept getting confused because they had similar plots, if not exactly the same, and aired their episodes (1,2 pair) the same week. 🤣
They produce so manu shows, it's hard to keep up already! And the way they plan their schedules, they consider the support actors in each (so we end up with multiple shows with similar supports); and thematic (sometimes it's all about suicide, sometimes kid abuse, or court/lawyers). Even though they're from competing companies.
Not to mention, they still have a few more finished productions that they still have to air, delayed for reasons they didn't explain.
