I saw this voltmeter at the electronics flea market. Look at that massive probe! It looks like you need to check your back blast before using it.
Apparently it's for REALLY high voltages? Like, 3kV?
One of my all-time favorite wallpaper finds (LINK: https://wallhaven.cc/w/g8xlxd). The Waybar and Hyprland window borders are color sampled directly from the wallpaper itself. The other color/icon/cursor/terminal themes are listed in the fastfetch output.
@actuallyautistic
I don't know if it's related to the hypo-/hypersensitivity topic, stimulation or whatsoever. But I really like strong tasting stuff. Spicy, salty, hot, sour, complex, whatsoever.
After just now taking a sip from a pickle glass it came to my mind that I even took shots of vinegar in the past, because I liked the taste. I considder it so odd that I wondered if anybody out there did it too.
@arstechnica
To bring a point up to top-level, for those who assert that "all people need is a hood over the stove”: It doesn’t necessarily vent very well:
"Pollutant capture efficiency (CE) ranged from <15% to >98%, varying across hoods and with airflow and burner position for each hood.”
I wish that every developer laid off by filth technofascism companies do an opensourced chatceo llm that does a better job than Zuckerberg Pig Leon Stink and Ghoulgul Puchai
@rbreich And every zealot that worships their 'brilliance' wants in on the grift. They're in awe of the "genius" and wish to copy it in their life. Let's look at things differently.
Riches are not worth. Greed not a virtue. Stealing ideas from workers forced to sign a contract under duress because they need the job and can't go without it, isn't a binding agreement, even if you do have the lawyers and judges to say it is. Uncommon thugs dressed n suits r NOT role model material.
As President Biden speaks to the Morehouse College commencement ceremony in Atlanta someone is holding aloft behind him a flag of the DRCongo while one graduating student has turned his back and draped himself in the Palestinian flag.
What is supposed to be a holding room for a former president’s security has, at their own admission, become a de facto campaign HQ . . . in a government building.
Olivia Nuzzi:
The #Trump campaign has moved its operational headquarters from West Palm Beach to a holding room inside Manhattan criminal court.
@GottaLaff Man, I really hate this timeline. This is not legal, right? They should just arrest all these asshats ... preferably on the same day the jury convicts TFG. Then they can all do their collective campaigning from the hoosgow.
I have finally dragged on clothes, so welcome to #ShirtCheckSunday !
I share my tee, you show me your tee/shirt/outfit, everyone looks awesome and cute, it's great.
Today's shirt is Ashenspire's Three Months to the Gutter tee, art by Hagiophobic.
They're an avant-garde red/anarchist black metal (RABM) band, and Hostile Architecture is one of my favourite albums of the last few years. Equal parts beautiful and brutal, and upholding the rule that all metal bands with saxophones are good.
If you're near London in the UK, they're playing at Desertfest at the Electric Ballroom this afternoon at 14:30.
@HauntedOwlbear sorry I could have posted a link ... but then you wouldn't have had the fun of tracking them down. They're brilliant. I saw them on the first night of the tour that the t-shirt is from. (just realised I forgot to alt text the pics... tusky edit to the rescue).
@GossiTheDog@pasquires You’re objectively correct, if and only if you insist upon a rich/poor dichotomy.
However, I think if one must put people into discrete boxes that way, there have to be at least 3. There’s a distinct difference between needing to labor for a paycheck and not and those of us who need to do so will mostly never feel wealthy. Those of us who have been actually poor do feel it, at least sometimes.
