Bubatzkarte in Osmand verwenden

http://osmand.net/add-tile-source?name=Bubatzkarte&min_zoom=4&max_zoom=19&url_template=https://bubatzkarte.de/tiles/radius/100/%7B0%7D/%7B1%7D/%7B2%7D.png

Going to buy a cheap dumb phone I think.

Could be good for my mental state. I need to read books more. I hate being thick. I hope that will help.

Sorry I’m on one at the moment, typing shit on here is cheaper than therapy and my Toots auto delete anyway.

Good luck today my electronic friends. The world is full of cunts in power everywhere.

@pre @mxtthxw yep, I use open street maps data on app - works really well without a sim and with wifi properly turned off (no sniffing)
Maybe the last few metres in a very urban area aren't as accurate as with wifi and sim but I havent noticed

On the very few times i want live traffic data I use on my 'disconnected' phone by enabling wifi and connecting by hotspot to my main phone
Works really well and I find it easier with separate devices for different purposes - YMMV

I think I've found my battery drain issue on my whilst running . I was pointed to downloading an app called cpuinfo on and it showed all 8 cores at Max. Tracked it down to . I force stopped it and all cores drop to less than half. So I guess I'll not be using that app for a while.

Allow me to recommend @organicmaps

QT @pluralistic - Hard to overstate how enshittified Google Maps has become. Went looking for my local locksmith. Gmaps shows 20+ fake locksmith referral scam outlets and doesn't even register the real locksmith, despite being fully visible in Street View.
Instead, a red pin on the shop identifies it as a fake locksmith scammer. The real locksmith - which has been there SINCE 1942 (!!) and is a verified merchant - doesn't even show up.

@Ruth_Mottram I prefer to pay a small fee to get the full version, they use the same card source and have a lot of smart plugins.

I've been doing some contributing to https://wikitravel.org/en/Salt_Lake_City but just now I learned about https://en.m.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Wikivoyage:Wikivoyage_and_Wikitravel and now I'm confused. "should" I contribute to voyage or travel?

MapAmore ,
@MapAmore@en.osm.town avatar

@mvexel

Wikitravel (WT)was bought by a commercial company, and their contributor community decided to fork the content as WikiVoyage (WV)?

The app supplements their data with travel content from WV.

When editing on the go, @everydoor is my hands-down favorite, but I'd hesitate recommending it for more new mappers.

I've been playing with just now, and really like how easy it is, maybe even for new contributors.

Plus, it's a progressive web app that runs in a browser, or installable in your device: https://osmgo.com , so this also seems to be a great candidate tool to introduce as a friendly editor for @openstreetmap mapping parties for new users.

I use @openstreetmap a lot, via +, and I'd love to give back to the map commons. The biggest problems I see are not with the basic data (streets etc), since the NZ govt's own map data is released under CC license, and updates to it are quickly imported into .

Rather what I see is outdated info about what can be found at a given address. Any advice of helping to update that kind of data? Is it part of OSM or other data commons used by OSMAnd+?
