This is how much I hate Chromium-based browsers, I left my frustration as notes.

@nixCraft I have 42 open on one #Firefox profile and 51 on other. Normally I'd be running also third profile that has 20-30 tabs open, but today I'm running light 😆
#Firefox 125.0.3 is out now to fix a text corruption bug when dragging text containing Unicode characters on #Linux systems, an issue with an extra blank tab with an address of https://0.0.0.1 appearing when attempting to launch Firefox when it's already running, an issue that could cause incorrect font selection in some situations for users with the Japanese locale set, and two other bugs https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/125.0.3/releasenotes/
Yo - #Firefox adding PDF edit capability is pretty sweet. How did that not make a bigger splash when 124 came out? SO many people end up at sketchy sites or worse trying to save a PDF form or edit a PDF document. This is such a big deal!
The current version of #Mozilla#Firefox is 125.0.2 #Librewolf is still stuck at version 124.0.1 & #MullBrowser from #FDroid is at 124.2.
Not sure, why both of them are not getting any further updates? Have they already given up? Time to switch back to vanilla #Firefox?
#Firefox 125.0.2 is out now to revert the new feature that proactively blocks downloads from potentially untrustworthy URLs as it caused unexpected problems with downloading files in some situations. It will be re-enabled in a future release once it works as expected! https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/125.0.2/releasenotes/
@Tutanota Firefox on all devices. I started using it in 2007 tried since then Opera, Vivaldi, Chrome, Brave, Falkon, Epiphany/GNOME Web, Edge (and DuckDuckGo on mobile) but always returned to #Mozilla#Firefox
Giving @librewolf a try. I like the idea of a browser specifically hardened against browser fingerprinting and tracking. Runs all of my existing Firefox plugins with no problems
@molly0xfff This may be more than you want to do, but just in case...
I do most of my browsing in Firefox, which lets me set many preferences to an insane level via their about:config feature.
I set the layout.frame_rate preference to 1 in my most-used browser profile. You would likely need to use a different browser or browser profile to view videos, and I do so. (In Firefox, about:profiles lets me make profiles.)
Oh look, a variant of Firefox that isn't insufferably obstinate, refusing to fit into your #Linux desktop environment for absolutely no valid reason...
(It's so nice to have an application actually respect your environment and preferences, and not forcefully impose its dreadful, opinionated, convoluted mobile-on-desktop #UI on you against your wishes)
I've known about Waterfox for many years and even used it as an additional browser back in my macOS days, but it may be seriously worth using it again and ditching #Firefox forever.
