My friend complimented how well I'm taking care of my plants and I feel compelled to confess my methods

All of my plants are next to the two spots I usually sit down. So when I have my big water cup out, I share a little with my plants and maybe pet their leafs for a second. It makes me happy to share my cuppy of water with my little plants. Apparently, this works really well and they are all growing like crazy! One of my fellas...

It's literally not; the link to his essay is active and it's included in full in the article, but I'm going to embed it here in case anyone else is going to be as intellectually lazy as you.

Anarchism is liberalism. The fetish for 'autonomy' is the highest ideal of Liberal personal freedom.

This sounded like something I would be excited about but damn we got different ideas of 'low-price'.

Yee I have a $20 tracfone lol.

It is not a skill issue that cabbage is more than a dollar per pound. Medieval pottage is too expensive now.

I think the callous language used to describe people's wishes here is incorrect and gross, but I don't wholly disagree. It doesn't seem contradictory to envision restorative justice for anti-social violence and repression of our class enemies by any means necessary. What else can class struggle entail? Mao reminds us "revolution is not a dinner party. It is a violent process by which one class overthrows another." Violence is not to be treated lightly.

What to do with severely mentally ill but structurely-powerless reactionaries is a difficult edge case. I think relatively humane life imprisonment is the best option.

Strongly encourage you to find work in a conservation corps or similar organization if they exist in your country and you are able to do manual labor. You would be on a crew of 6-15 people usually living out at a field site for 1-2 weeks at a time, cooking and living and working together to improve the natural environment or recreation infrastructure. Hard rewarding work, good peaceful downtime. Great chance to read a lot of books too since you will be away from computers and modernity.

I might move again. (Or not) ( lemy.lol )

I moved from Lemmy.ml because I liked the name of Lemmy.world and it ran a newer Lemmy version which meant I could make communities. I moved from Lemmy.world because they defederated from piracy communities they didn’t even host (but for some reason still kept the small piracy community they DID host) From thelemmy.club...

IF your goal is just to keep your head down and keep a paycheck, your goal is to 1) keep up the appearance of business and 2) be easy to manage. As long as none of you behavior reaches your direct report, you’re golden. Try to find someone more experienced with you to show you the ropes and never ask your manager for clarification or support except when absolutely necessary. Instead, rely on your coworkers to train you and try to find some way to make things equitable with them.

Bonus points if you can find what metrics your manager is measured on and work a little to butter their bread. Eventually, you will figure out which areas you can do the bare minimum in and spend the least total amount of energy for the most job security and likelihood of a raise. Do not work yourself to the bone and do not work beyond paid or contract hours.

For instance, I worked in a chain coffee store and found out my manager did not like having to delegate/think about certain cleaning tasks so I would do those really quick before fucking off in the back and that lowered my overall amount of responsibility while also boosting me in my bosses eyes. Of course, if we were really busy I would pull my weight fairly and not throw my coworkers under the bus.

Why do all of these games have a combat component? I think I actually just want to play light novels lol.

Big mood. In the engineering discipline I left, the regulating body had a lookup table you were required to use in calcs because they did not trust engineers to take logs or do simple derivatives. LMAO

Eventually looks are going to be the least important component of attraction. It will continue to be about emotionality and familiarity. Young adults are going to feel less and less relatable and therefore less and less attractive.
