All day, I've been meaning to do a #FollowFriday, but you know what? It's #LongCovidAwarenessDay, and -- since the ongoing pandemic that is in fact a mass disabling event is causing damage with every infection, with around a 1 in 10 chance of #LongCovid each time -- so many people (sadly, too many people) I know here on Mastodon have Long Covid, like my partner has, so rather than pick out some of these fine folks, I'll just use the #FF to instead hopefully raise awareness with this simple post.
One of the things I most enjoy about Mastodon is connecting with a community that is passionate about combating the climate crisis and raising awareness about this issue that impacts us all.

Have been digging thru and following some great new accounts from @Flipboard lately. Mostly by searching for all profiles with "Flipboard.com" and then following the new accounts now live. Try it!

You can now follow @Flipboard's editorial accounts in the fediverse. These are carefully curated by human editors from quality sources. If you'd rather follow just specific types of content from each desk — for example, basketball but not tennis from our Sports Desk, or health but not wellness from the Health Desk, just follow Magazines (curated feeds of topical content). To do this, add the handle for the account into the search bar (for example, @ElectionCentral) and you'll see all the Magazines that account is currently updating.
