The Last Philosopher is my first book under the subtitle, Nothing is Everything.

It's been called imaginative, funny, and unique. People have even gone so far as to compare it to #DouglasAdams and #TerryPratchett.
My response to that comparison, is to go hide under the covers for a week with embarrassment.

I The Road to Somewhere.
It tries to explain the rise of populisim perticluarly in
While I don't agree with everything in the book, it is pretty interesting.
It works hard to avoid blaming the affluent (and never saying rich like it's a four letter word).
But even while not saying the quite part out loud, it implies that both rich liberals and conservative are leaving the young and the poor behind. Which historically has not had the best results.

Tumblr post writing interpretation. Death of the author: Treating the author’s stated interpretation of their own work as merely one opinion among many, rather than the authoritative Word of God. Disappearance of the author: Treating the context and circumstances of the work’s authorship as entirely irrelevant with respect to its interpretation, as though the work had popped into existence fully formed just moments ago. Taxidermy of the author: Working backwards from a particular interpretation of the work to draw conclusions about what the context and circumstances of its authorship must have been. Undeath of the author: Holding the author personally responsible for every possible reading of their work, even ones they could not reasonably have anticipated at the time of its authorship. Frankenstein's Monster of the author: Drawing conclusions about authorial intent based on elements that are present only in subsequent adaptations by other authors. Weekend at Bernie’s of the author: Insisting that the author would personally endorse your interpretation of the work if they happened to be present.     The first page of my "Fantasy/Attempted Comedy" story, The Last Philosopher.
    I've been rewriting it again, but this first page still has some issues.

    Part one: With a Capital D “For every extreme there are infinite in-betweens.” -Boole, extreme logick philosopher The Darkness of nothing was creeping into the first universe. A lot like the nothing always creeping under a child’s bed. Except on a somewhat larger and less terrifying scale. In another comer, a displaced black hole — orbiting the edge of an odd galaxy — was spinning out of control from the force of its own outrage. This all-consuming Afreet called Richard, long for Dick, was furious at all the untraditional things in what it considered to be its galaxy. Beings like this black hole should perhaps not be possible. Even so, in the senile dimensions of the multiverse; every oddity that can occur has already occurred. And the race of demi-gods were here to prove that fact. That stinky blue ball Huom is to blame! Dick thought. In this, the black hole was almost correct. Because as much as a cluster of stars can belong to anything, this galaxy belonged to the planet Huom. Because once upon a time, the blue-green ball had been the first and only living being. The original Afreet and sole inhabitant of the galaxy that Dick was now orbiting. It wasn't until much later that the black hole’s singularity penetrated the cosmos, becoming the second demi-god. Ever since Dick was forced into existence, it has been been disgusted at everything in particular.

    When Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein in 1818 (aged 19), neither Jules Verne, nor Welles were born yet (Allan Poe was 9). A teenage girl wrote what is still considered today the 1st science fiction novel. This article continues the long tradition of erasing her.
