Secondly, the challenge of future people: how to adequately include future people in human rights, and how to set adequate priorities between the present and the future, especially in times of climate change? The book also asks whether people worldwide can be motivated to do what it takes to realize human rights. Furthermore, it considers the common and prominent challenges of relativism and of the political abuse of human rights.     Timeline of major Israeli attacks on Gaza’s hospitals

    The World Health Organization has documented 445 Israeli attacks on Gaza’s medical sector that affected 101 health facilities, including 32 hospitals.

    These include: October 2023 – a missile hits the car park of al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City, killing hundreds of people. November 2023 – Israeli forces enter Gaza’s biggest hospital, al-Shifa, after a siege of several days. They also launch an attack on al-Awda, killing at least three doctors. December 2023 – Israeli forces take control of al-Awda after a 12-day siege, during which snipers kill two members of the medical staff at the facility. January 2024 – Israeli forces order the evacuation of Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis and raid the facility. March 2024 – Israeli attack on al-Aqsa Hospital kills many civilians sheltering in the hospital. The same month, the military also launches a new assault on al-Shifa, leaving it in ruins.

The panorama is a composite of several 6-second exposures covering two thirds of the visible sky, with north in the center, and processed to heighten the colors and remove electrical wires. The photographer (in the foreground) reported that the aurora appeared to flow from a point overhead but illuminated the sky only toward the north.

    The Israeli forces have prevented 3,000 aid trucks from entering Gaza in the past two weeks, according to a statement by the Gaza media office.

    The office said in a statement on Telegram that the army has also prevented 690 sick and wounded people from travelling abroad for treatment as the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings stay closed for the 13th day in a row.

    Foreign ministers from 13 countries have signed a letter warning Israel to halt its ground invasion of Rafah and to allow more aid to reach the Palestinian population.

    The letter was signed by the foreign ministers of the G7 states: Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Japan and Canada, as well as their counterparts from Australia, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea and Sweden.

    How organisations can prepare for acts of cyber terrorism via security planning and incident response strategies such as ISO 31000, ISO 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Increasingly, cyber security practitioners are confronted with a stark phrase: cyber terrorism. For many, it conveys fear and hopelessness. What is this thing called ‘cyber terrorism’ and what can we begin to do about it? Malicious-minded ICT users, programmers and even programs (including much AI-powered software) have all been instrumental in recruiting, inspiring, training, executing and amplifying acts of terrorism. This has resulted in the loss of life and/or life-changing physical injuries that could never have occurred without support and facilitation from the cyber sphere. These types of attacks can be encapsulated by the phrase ‘cyber terrorism’. Despite well-meaning interventions by a range of influential stakeholders (tech companies, governments, police and academia), our computer networks remain riddled with cyber threats. Accessing terrorism content does not require much in the way of research skills, technical ability or patience. This book recounts case studies to show the types of threats we face and provides a comprehensive coverage of risk management tactics and strategies to protect yourself against such nefarious threat actors. These include key mitigation and controls for information security or security and HR-related professionals.
