So, launched their own -based browser called . According to them, it is a browser.

It is available for , (tested on 22.04 LTS), and .

What I like it about it are (in no particular order):

  1. Different “modes”. Each mode have a default setting related to . The modes are: Personal, Work, Dev, Kids, and Open Season (the “like-any-other-browser” mode).

Choose one mode, and forget it. You don't have to go through every single setting to set it up the way you want. But of course, it's still better to check.

  1. You can sync with your Zoho account.

If you are using Zoho products, for personal or work, this is a very good option. You can separate your Google-based sync data from your other data.

In Korea, they have plenty of online forums and spaces where Koreans can talk about anything… and even anonymously (at least after the SSN requirement was repealed).

It's both good and bad.

Good: they can discuss topics that matters for their country and culture. Or, the latest trends. Create memorable and funny memes that even gets the attention of variety show celebrities.

Bad: it can be used, especially by anonymous users, to reveal private information, cancel an actor, start a campaign to force a TV/Cable network to a cancel a fictional show.

This online culture, from my vantage point, came up because of the language barrier. English is not a common second language in Korea, thus, instead of Koreans using Facebook and Twitter and Instagram (before Instagram became popular there), naturally one would be in a space where you can communicate with everyone else. That is their own local online forums and communities.

This is what the lack. We rely so much on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

I am thinking… maybe, just maybe, having a instance for the can help build this local community / space where we can lay down everything and talk what matters to us without all those foreign companies dictating to us what we can see and can not see (a.k.a. algorithms), and say and can not say (a.k.a. the precious community guidelines of FB that they themselves don't even follow).

Something similar to what South Korea have. Minus, hopefully, the bad usage of it.

Just some ^_^

I'm confused… are you saying that the issue between Beehaw.org and Lemmy.world is related to the lead developers of Lemmy software?

EDIT: Nevermind, I got your point.

Well, for users who are new to the fediverse, they will probably see it as a division in the “Lemmy (software) community” (if we can call it that). But, that's no different from say a fork. Mastodon was forked a lot, but it wasn't necessarily a division of the “Mastodon (software) community”.

I think they'll be fine and it'll, in the end, be a positive.

Huh? That' s a very cheap price. That's only ₱55,800+ today.

Usually, a highly-valued domain name, and if it was your fault in the first place, you'll have to pay a premium price for it + penalty for losing it.

Initially, I thought it has to do with Taal Volcano. There are rare times when both Mayon and Taal Volcanoes “co-erupt” (if that is even a term).

The movement of the ground was North-South, so it was somewhere North or South from where I am.

  • South of us is Taal Volcano, around 80km.
  • North of us is Central Luzon, around 120km is Pinatubo Volcano.
  • Still North at around 90km is the area in Central Luzon where new fault lines seems to appear out of nowhere every XX years. (scary)
  • Oh, South of us, around 120–150km (farther than Taal Volcano) are Batangas and Mindoro areas which, for the past 6 years, were frequently hit by .

I hate . You are at the mercy of wherever you are when it hit.

Our modern world today: a volcano is erupting and people are being forced to evacuate, while the rest of the people in the safe zones are busy taking the best photos.

Note: I have nothing against taking the best photos. If given the opportunity, I would do the same, seriously. Some I'll dedicate to the Public Domain or CC-BY-SA 4.0; some I'll try to sell. ^_^;; (I'll even make use the excuse of “historical records”, and again, it's not just an excuse, it's serious.)

All I'm saying is that, things really changed.

Hmm… is it just me, or the instances I'm testing/using, can not see “Magazines” and Users? But Kebin can see Lemmings?

The Lemmy instance I'm using is https://sopuli.xyz

And the Kbin instance is https://fedia.io

youronlyone , to Random stuff

Probably half of it are existing users. For example, I have accounts in different Lemmy instances. I also have accounts in different Kbin instances.

For me, what is important here is MAU and the number of “Threads” (not “microblog”) that are being created from a Lemmy and Kbin instances.

^_^

Number of accounts are not exactly a good idea, since many of us have multiple accounts in different instances… especially those of us who test things every now and then (and file a bug report if needed, or write some guide if we have time).

@trakt Hi .

Can you combine these two shows into your new feature “Collection”?

Season 1: https://trakt.tv/shows/tale-of-the-nine-tailed
Season 2 https://trakt.tv/shows/tale-of-the-nine-tailed-1938

Or maybe update it and combine the two seasons correctly?

Those are series, not movies. Season 2 is set in 1938 hence “Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938”. It is not a spin-off nor a reboot, it is a direct continuation of .

There will be Season 3, which was already announced last year, which will pick up from where Season 2 “Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938” left off.

If the two shows are not combined properly, it will be weird on your end if https://trakt.tv/shows/tale-of-the-nine-tailed have Season 1 and then jumps to Season 3.

^_^
