I've never really known #karaoke (with the right people maybe) would be something I enjoy (quite a lot) lol. I've only been twice, and never with friends cos they're (we're) not the type to randomly think of paying for some hours just to sing. The first time was w family and I didn't even sing cos I was too edgy I guess. The most recent was new year's eve just a couple of weeks ago - and that was with my partner and sibs.
After the #AOT finale I for some reason just NEEDED to sing #anime songs and I did just that while everyone else sang Indo/Malay/Eng songs lmao. We went to #Manekineko just bcos it was the only one available/open, and we sang from 11pm till 1am and surprisingly it totally wasn't enough 😩 Was able to sing some AOT songs tho not all I had wanted which was a bummer, some #Gintama songs, the #NatsumeYuujinchou OP, and the #HunterXHunter OP. They didn't have #ShinyaShokudo (#MidnightDiner)'s OP either which was also a bit of a bummer.
I really didn't need yet another hobby to commit to lol but here I am. I thought when I have my own place I only need to sacrifice a single (likely store) room as a dedicated room for my servers/#homelab equipments, now I prolly need a soundproofed karaoke room too if this urge to scream to my fav songs continue too frequently.
Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord Episode 1 Impressions
Purely setup from start to finish. First half was just the intro to the game the MC played before being isekai'd. Then it was the MC being reborn, power leveling and starting school.
Not much to say this first episode. Going to have to watch one more to even make a decision. This is one that could have benefited from a double length premiere episode.
Hi all, I've just migrated from @irfan to this account on sakurajima.social. I'll also be attempting to migrate my main account @irfan to this one in the coming days, but I'm expecting nothing on that front since it's failed so far.
I've moved to multiple servers throughout my time on the #Fediverse in pursuit for a "permanent" instance to be on, and I've never had the chance to write an #intro post lol so this will be my first.
I'm a 26 year old (in Nov 2024) (gfdi) programmer obsessed with languages such as #Python and #Shell, frameworks like #Django, and #CloudNative shenanigans like #Docker, #Kubernetes, and #Helm. I'm also obsessed with #FOSS and #Linux, and promoting them to be more viable each day for the masses so everyone could have not just free but secure access to daily computing.
I'll be using this account to mostly document my passions through mini reviews or rants, even make some friends along the way. I have another picture-based account over on #Pixelfed, @irfan. All images I have posted and will be posting will include descriptive/alt text, including my pfp and banner. I also have some bots for posting local (to me, #Malaysia) #news and other relevant data cos the #Mastodon API is just so fun to play with.
Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adprable Episode 1 Impressions
Kind of cute beginning. The snot thing was weird and gross. And yet they showed it again. Other than that it could be a fun rom-com as long as further ecchi stuff isn't snot based. Wish the dude was a bit less of a fool lol.
Gonna give this a 2nd episode to determine if I keep up with this one each week or not.
'Tis Time For "Torture", Princess Episode 1 Impressions
What I wish Mr. Villain was. This is how you do a one note joke show. 🤣. This is absolutely ridiculous. I can't stop laughing. The food looks great and the reactions were killing me.
I'm looking forward to this being a lot of fun this season. Need episode 2 now.
The opening theme song is sooooo good. Sadly the show is rather boring. The humor just isn't hitting the notes for a good laugh. It's trying so hard with some of the reactions characters have, but I'm just left staring blankly.
I almost wanted to chuckle out of pity. Oh well, won't be continuing this one.
If you've followed us on ANY of our social accounts (or our RSS), you've seen that our team has been blasting through watching the first episodes of the entire Winter 2024 anime season.
Somehow I ended up watching #VioletEvergarden (the TV #anime, the movie and the special episodes) during my New Year vacation. And I... fell completely in love with Violet herself? :blobmiou: It's not a perfect series in terms of worldbuilding (for example, Violet's prosthetic arms are way too advanced compared to, well, everything else), but honestly, it doesn't bother me all that much.
I'm reading the first light novel right now (in English), and it feels a bit different? Aside from the order of stories, the #anime is also... somewhat more grounded, I think? I mean, it's not terribly realistic either, but certain details (such as Violet's battle skills) are even more fantastic in the book. Not that it's a bad thing! And as far as I can tell, Violet's characterization is largely the same, though I'll probably write more about it when I finish the novels.
Kind of dumb show, but I enjoy stupid shit like this 😂. Its got surprisingly good visuals and production. MC is fine and the ladies all have good and interesting character designs it looks like.
I love my ecchi harem stuff when done well, and this seems like it will be dumb fun. So I'm definitely giving it a couple more episodes to see how it goes.
The Strongest Tank's Labyrinth Raids Episode 1 Impressions
This was nothing special, but I didn't hate it. Rud is a tank who didn't fully know all of his skills and got kicked out of the hero's party for it.
He heads back home to his ill sister and rescues a young girl and learns about his skills. Nothing major happens yet. Not sure what future episodes will entail. So far probably not going to watch weekly, but will check out episode 2 and decide then.
The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic episode 1 Impressions
What the hell is this and why is it so ridiculous. I expected a generic isekai, and I've been laughing my ass off.
It started off so normal, had a bit of funny moments, then BOOM! Its so over the top suddenly. 🤣 I'm definitely watching more of this show. Hope it doesn't drop the humor, but the ending credits worries me it might become more serious later
Glad they put all the setup of the characters and story in to a long first episode. It was interesting to see this one adapted, as I've been reading the light novels.
Seems to have good production value, which is nice. Hoping this one holds up well tonthe novels. I look forward to more of this series.
"My New Boss is Goofy" is an incredibly sweet #anime that has caused me to feel emotionally lighter than normal. I didn't face the one thing that I knew would stress me out on Friday, so instead I shall do it tomorrow before work. It shouldn't take long. Now though, it's time to sleep with these marshmallow thoughts still fresh in my head!
The Unwanted Undead Adventurer Episode 1 Impressions
The episode was fine. Pretty decent production, but MC is not too interesting right now. It was mostly another episode 1 that's all setup, so kind of hard to judge the show as of now.
Will watch another episode or 2 before making a decision on it.
Loving this. Great production, the food discussion and preparation are interesting, and somehow making me hungry
I understand the complaints about their lack of urgency, but I see it as just a plot point to show off eating monsters along the journey to save the sister.
My Instant Death Ability Is Overpowered Episode 1 Impressions
Basically all setup for the world, and the MC's ability. Follows the light novel to a T in this 1st episode.
The animation is a bit lacking at times, but not unwatchable. We'll see how the next episode goes, but pretty sure this show won't stand out much in a landscape of isekais already available
This was bad... I just started checking out and played a mobile game. Characters are meh, the story is meh, the CGI monsters suck...
it's a weird masochistic male fantasy where you fight as a slave for physical intimacy rewards. If it had been done for pure humor, maybe this would have worked... But this is just not interesting.
This is basically 95% of the stuff I bought in Japan.
Some for me, others are gifts. Also, you'll notice the prices on these items. Given how much I paid for the figures, I don't mind the boxes being a little damaged in travel. But given the dollar to yen ratio, I did good!
