Todavía me enteré ahora cinco años después porque, aunque de pequeño era super fan de Saint Seiya (o Los Caballeros del Zodiaco, como lo llamábamos aquí), todavía no acabé la serie de los 80 😆
It's Winter 2024 Anime preview time. It's myself and guest co-host, @station, giving our thoughts on new series debuting this anime season. We discuss 17 shows, with 7 being quick thoughts and 10 being a bit more in depth.

Hi, I'm Laura and I study #pollen, reconstructing prehistoric #landscapes, using #FTIR#microspectroscopy to identify grass pollen and also enjoy using different coding languages such as #R and #Python ^.^
My hobbies include #DJ ing, watching #anime and collecting #Pokemon cards (thrilling I know). Very happy to be here :3
Metallic Rouge has been good so far. Sure, it’s taking a somewhat slow approach to revealing its plot, but that’s fine since its first two episodes have been good. I’m not quite ready to give it a full recommendation, but maybe the next episode or two will really get the main plot moving.
What it does have, if nothing else, is an epic combat song! I’ve watched this official lyrics video of “Crimson Lightning” several times in the last two weeks. It’s that good.
Man, I still can't stop thinking about #OshiNoKo. I expected a very simple #anime, and in a lot of ways it still was very simple, but just from the first episode alone I was completely thrown off with multiple twists I hadn't expected AT ALL from an anime revolving around Idols. I decided to give it a watch purely bcos of the unique, starry design of their "eyes", the vibrant colours, and the popular OP song - now I'm actually looking forward to Season 2 which is coming in the coming months.
Violet's backstory is much more detailed in the novels (#VioletEvergarden), though her origins are never explained. I guess I'll just have to assume that she was raised and trained by some top secret military organization (unknown even to people like Gilbert). :blobmiou: Oh well, I still haven't finished the book series.
It's interesting how in the #anime, Violet is an extremely skilled soldier, yet her weapons are generally relatively mundane, whereas in the novel, she wields a literal battle axe. This is probably the only detail I... don't particularly care for (it's a bit TOO fantasy-ish and, I dunno, valkyrie-like for the book's setting), but Akatsuki Kana loves battle axes and scenes of carnage. Trust me. She does. 🤣
So in this episode they go into a cave, and can read some sort of energy field, as well as Troi having a sense that there are lifeforms present. Geordie explains that the people must be displaced in time, but only by a few milliseconds. If that’s true, how is there not overlap? Say the people are a few milliseconds ahead of...
But, yeah, I'm not sure either about it. Is there a way to find out which author/writer first thought of this idea? Or, was it based on a real-life theory that scifi authors picked-up independently? Or, was it Star Trek that created this approach?
(And again, that frame rate approach is great. ^_^)
question about "synchronic displacement" in TNG 'Times Arrow'
