"The strategy utilised by the Zionist Establishment within Jewish communities and outside these communities, particularly, in the United States, England, France, Germany and Australia is to engage in an intentional falsification of history and contemporary reality when it comes to the supposedly intractable conflict between Israel and the Palestinians."
...
"As the world witnessed in the case of the destruction of the highly probable victory of Jeremy Corbyn becoming British Prime Minister, these campaigns of destroying opponents of Israeli ethnic cleansing have been extremely potent and successful.
"I ask our prime minister and our fellow parliamentarians: how many international rights laws must Israel break for us to say enough? How many lives does it take to call this a genocide?" Senator Payman asked.
@Smith007 is a very new account. It seems to be dedicated to 'hasbara'. Posts from that account don't show readily for me, but there are ways. 😉
I'll just repeat what Yarden Katz wrote:
"Anyone wishing to understand how the Holocaust was possible, how people who may be warm and kind in their personal lives could support the murder of an entire population deemed subhuman, should examine Israeli society."
"... the zionist project, culminating in Israel, is profoundly contrary to Jewish traditions ... Israel has suppressed these Jewish traditions and ways of living while hijacking parts of them when convenient."
"... as Chris Hedges often says, ‘Israel lies.’ And in the present climate the lies are not only bellicose and incendiary, but galling to a Jew like me who grew up in a time of intense antisemitism."
...
"The Executive Council of Australian Jewry has figures for an exponential rise in antisemitic incidents over the past months. I’m not examining the figures – numbers aren’t exactly my forte. But it’s curious that so little attempt is made by them, or pro-Zionist organisations like them, to correlate this rise with Israel’s ongoing oppression of the Palestinian people and its culmination in one of history’s most horrific human tragedies.
One thing is certain, none of us can expect to be ‘safe’ now.
Genocide apologist are safe and welcome at #mastodon dot social. This person has dedicated their time to harass, lie and libel the @palestine They keep spreading proven lies as the "beheaded babies" and "mass rapes" (there's zero evidence of either), yet Mastodon dot social mods don't do anything about this obvious troll, while they ban pro-Palestine accounts.
I'm always curious about the mental health of those #hasbara social media operators.
I guess posting some ugly dehumanising troll comment is a little less soul destroying than operating a drone that's killing the surviving communities of beautiful people.
This is one way #Israel insinuates its presence into the political life of other nations (well, esp white, Western, settler-colonial nations). Israel provides all expenses paid trips for politicians (& "influencers", esp from media) to be subjected to a carefully crafted, intense pro-Zionist propaganda course in Israel. This photo is of a few Australian politicians who stuck their snouts in this trough (and their brains in the deep freezer). #auspol#propaganda#zionism
@ViXY_DBC
The OP denies the existence of Palestine. Leaving aside for the moment, the fact that the concept of Palestine pre-dates the formalisation of the concept of national sovereignty (Treaty of Westphalia, 1648), what is a state?
The term is ill-defined:
"a nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government";
and
"a politically organized body of people usually occupying a definite territory".
So people are the determinate. Territory is optional.
If most other states recognise a people as a state, then does that determine the existence of a state? If other states withdraw recognition (of, for example, Israel) then, at what point does the state cease to exist?
#UK / Sunak's tone-deaf press release to mark six months since October 7th
The worst incident since October 7 goes beyond the kidnapping, killing, and detention of Israelis in Gaza. Israel's illegal acts of revenge have escalated the situation, echoing the violent occupation of Palestine that began 76 years ago following an ongoing ethnic cleansing.
Sunak's press release neglects to mention the estimated minimum of 33,000 dead, mostly women and children. This potential genocide, as deemed by the ICJ, is overlooked. With its one-sided narrative and adoption of Israeli #Hasbara talking points, the press release bears a striking resemblance to those issued by Netanyahu's office.
David Littleproud has indeed very little to be proud of.
When he says; "The Israeli government is only doing what its people are expecting of them.” does he really think this makes it ok to kill civilians, aid workers and little children?
@Spoon
Reading far too much Leon Uris in my younger days, my introduction to the history was the alternative history that underpins Israeli Zionism. Realising the carefully crafted deceit came slowly.
I was recently challenged to deny that Jews are "indigenous" to the area. My response that there are Moslems, Jews and Christians who are indigenous was met with an assertion that Jews were there "first".
The region being a route from Africa to Europe, there's evidence of modern humans in the area 120,000 years ago. Judaism hasn't existed that long.
Before that, there were other hominids. The earliest remains are estimated to be 1.5 million years old.
Israeli Zionism has little to do with religion @Jakra
They use "Jewish" as a label for their in-group and exploit Jewish mythology for their 'hasbara', but they're just as comfortable beating up Orthodox Jews as they are killing Palestinians.
"Palestinians are the primary resistors and victims of zionism, but Jews are targets too. Israel had to be built on the ruins of worlds Jews were part of long before zionism,"
#Hasbara /How dumb is Israeli public advocacy? Very.
Following an explicit demand from the government of #Singapore, the Israeli embassy in Singapore deleted a post from its Facebook account that dealt with the mention of #Israel in the #Quran while #Palestine is not mentioned at all.
The post sparked outrage in the country which has a small Jewish community (about 3,000 people, mostly Jews from Iraq), 15% of its residents are Muslim and [so far] has no history of hostility between the two communities.

@ia42
Whoa, I love how you act like the stories are just what I posted and Israel kidnapping hospital staff and all the males the take their hands on as Hamas operatives.
There are countless of videos shared on social media covering the stories.
So far there has been 7 eyewitness reports who saw the executione of kidnapped Palestinians and your "logic" and you sad little attempt to try making Israel a military obeying Geneva convention is as laughable as your other comments trying to whitewash the crimes of Israel in Gaza.
It truly sickening to watch and read people defend IDF at this stage and acting like a nation that is killing reporters, denies international press to cover the conflict and has shown (by the account of their own soldiers) that they do not see palestinians as human beings and brag about murdering them point blank or driving over then by a tank and boldozers.
I can go on an on with these videos and add the posts by IDF solders bragging about their war crimes, but I am not going to waste more time responding to your BS.
Let's be clear on what it means that a famine in the technical sense is imminent for 1.1 million people in Gaza according to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC).
One of the criteria is 2 deaths per 10,000 people from outright starvation or the interaction of malnutrition and disease... PER DAY.
The people who understand this stuff are saying that a situation is imminent where there are AT LEAST 200 starvation deaths every day.
#Canada 🇨🇦 / Parliament to vote on motion backing Palestinian 🇵🇸 statehood
[…] Canadian legislators are due on Monday to vote on a non-binding motion backing Palestinian statehood that has drawn condemnation from #Israel and that could deepen splits inside the ruling Liberal Party.
[…] "Justin Trudeau could take bold steps for peace and justice, but he doesn't have the courage. That's why we brought a motion to force the Liberal government to finally help end this bloodshed," NDP leader Jagmeet Singh said in a statement, saying Palestinians and Israelis both deserve to live in peace.
[…] The motion calls on Canada to "officially recognize the State of Palestine" - a step that no member of the Group of Seven industrialised nations has taken - and suspend all trade in military goods and technology with Israel.
Opposition leader Yair Lapid, alarmed but also gleeful, I’d say:
Canada's decision to halt arms exports to Israel is "wrong, harmful and dangerous." Lapid added: "Israel is waging a war against an extreme and cruel terrorist organization and the Canadians simply don't understand what is really happening here.
I think the word he’s looking for is #Genocide 🤷🏽♂️
He then adds this, revealing how fucked up Israeli leadership is, center and right, believing a genocide is something that can pass through with better public advocacy or #Hasbara:
This does not change the fact that we are witnessing the collapse of Israel's foreign relations because of a bad and negligent government that is handling this terribly. It is inconceivable that at a time when our children are being murdered, women are being raped and civilian hostages are being held captive by Hamas, this extreme government is managing to lose the battle for public opinion."
[…] "I think that a large number of those countries who suspended are (having) second thoughts," Barth Eide told Reuters in an interview, citing the recognition from these nations that "they cannot punish the whole Palestinian society".
[…] "But then, of course, they need an honourable way out, which means they are hoping, I think - without speaking for individual countries - that they will get something from these investigations that suggest that they can say: "well, we needed to suspend, but now we're back'."
“Mass #propaganda discovered that its audience was ready at all times to believe the worst, no matter how absurd, and did not particularly object to being deceived because it held every statement to be a lie anyhow. The totalitarian mass leaders based their propaganda on the correct psychological assumption that, under such conditions, one could make people believe the most fantastic statements one day, and trust that if the next day they were given irrefutable proof of their falsehood, they would take refuge in #cynicism; instead of deserting the leaders who had lied to them, they would protest that they had known all along that the statement was a lie and would admire the leaders for their superior tactical cleverness.”

"We must confess that our adversaries have a marked advantage over us in the discussion. In very few words they can announce a half-truth; and in order to demonstrate that it is incomplete, we are obliged to have recourse to long and dry dissertations."
