I say the current system is acceptable as long as exclusive manufacture is suspended after 20 years. No matter the delivery system, the original drugmaker can't prevent generics from being produced after that date. Royalties would still have to be paid within 40 years of the original FDA approval.

I have trouble with this because it's like 90% grey area. Is it a pic of a real child but inpainted to be nude? Was it a real pic but the face was altered as well? Was it completely generated but from a model trained on CSAM? Is the perceived age of the subject near to adulthood? What if the styling makes it only near realistic (like very high quality CG)?

I agree with what the FBI did here mainly because there could be real pictures among the fake ones. However, I feel like the first successful prosecution of this kind of stuff will be a purely moral judgement of whether or not the material "feels" wrong, and that's no way to handle criminal misdeeds.

I did support Ron back in the day. I still mostly respect the guy though. If he is another right wing grifter he's got his mask on 24/7. I don't think I've ever heard anything contradictory from him. We've used the "scaled" approach for a whilen and we make tags to release. Every time we have a long-lived branch that isn't main/master something gets fucked up or we spend an extra few days just to reconcile the conflicts. Possibly it was due to the operation but the remedy was clear and she still had to wait. The longer the wait the greater the risk and the outcome likely would've been better if this was handled immediately. The point is that the law ignores medical best practices in the name of "saving lives" which, in a case like this, is no less than a form of torture for the hopeful parents.

Easier said than done but don't be on your own. Stick in groups of 2 or more friends. I got bullied in middle school because I really didn't have many friends in my classes. In high school I joined ROTC, which typically means every squad member is your friend, and I never got bullied because they all had my back and I had theirs. Well, I might've been "bullied" a bit by superior officers but that's kind of built in to the program.

It does sound like a clear cut car case of burglary but until there's a conviction I think this should be dealt with on a party level. The GOP has booted Democrats for way less. The bar for bipartisan expulsion should be high IMO -- felony conviction or repeated rule violations and at least one suspension.

In a similar situation. I was using Open Media Vault but it has some networking bug that I just can't nail down or work around. I have to manually fix the networking every time it breaks. Otherwise I barely used OMV features and did most things through Docker. I'll be switching to Diet Pi and probably Ansible unless I feel like learning Puppet.
