Judge Cannon has postponed Trump's classified documents trial and didn't set a new start date.

The Supreme Court is slow walking Trump's presidential immunity claim, which has delayed his Jan 6 trial.

The federal judiciary is effectively acting like a MAGA campaign arm.

KeithDJohnson ,
@KeithDJohnson@sfba.social avatar

@rbreich What would happen if Cannon were called, by prosecution, as a witness in one or some of the other trials? And what would cross-examination look like? Just thoughts from a, clearly, non-lawyer.🤔

We're Watching The Elite Panic in Real Time
    by Jessica Wildfire

"The situation is evolving daily now. Farmers & ranchers are starting to show "bird flu-like symptoms," but they aren't getting tested. Nobody is forcing them, either. The USDA is inspecting ground beef, but only in states with outbreaks in dairy cows, & only because other countries started rejecting our beef. As one epidemiologist told Scientific American, "We don't have a good sense of the spread because testing is voluntary and certainly not being done in a systematic way."

Avian flu has been spreading for months in cattle, & none of our government institutions can tell us anything except, "Don't panic."

    It's pathetic.

You can look at nuclear meltdowns, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, & pandemics. Almost every single time, government authorities rush out to calm down the population. They censor accurate information. They put most of their emphasis on protecting the assets of the rich***."

    I'm a Tenured College Professor. I'm Quitting. Here's Why.

"Most of my professor friends can't support themselves. That includes the fancy tenured professors, even at nice schools. They have sugar mamas & sugar daddies. They're married to lawyers and bankers, or IT managers. If they're like me, they've got a secret side hustle.

    Here's an irony:

My university forces everyone to disclose outside income. So if you have a second job or a side hustle, you're technically supposed to report it. You're supposed to ask them for permission. They can say no.

That's right, the same university that gave me a chocolate bar for a raise also says I can't take on a second job to support my family. They're worried it would distract me from all the free work I'm doing for them." https://www.okdoomer.io/im-a-professor-heres-why-im-walking-away-from-my-tenure/

"MG: The ice isn't disappearing. I mean, it turns into water. It has to go somewhere. So, when it ends up in the oceans, what does that mean?

WC: Oh, boy. It's pretty complicated, actually. So, Greenland is losing so much ice. In addition to the study that just came out, this is... they're just talking about, 40 million tons of the floating ice at the edge of the ice sheet. But all together, the ice sheet is losing about 5 X more than that or about, 9 or 10 thousand tons a second. It's so much ice that the gravity is weakening over Greenland. That has an impact on how the ocean is shaped.

MG: Sorry, the gravity is weakening over Greenland!
    Because the displacement is less?

WC: Well, the mass in Greenland is less.

Think how the moon orbits Earth & it pulls a tide around with it. is a relatively massive object, & it holds sort of a permanent tide of water close to it. As Greenland begins to get smaller, its gravity begins to get weaker."

"In the last week we have learned that is widespread in ruminant animals across the US. First goat kids were found with unusual neurological symptoms that turned out to be H5N1 at a farm in Western Minnesota. Then widespread unusual symptoms in dairy cows in Texas and Kansas turned out to be avian influenza as well.
Moreover, in the dairy cows this is showing up in large scale operations in places where there are a LOT of cattle feedlots. And cows in feedlots are famously sick already - they are fed basically to keep them from dropping dead, but cows in confinement agriculture headed to slaughter are generally unhealthy, which ups the chance that the virus will mutate to spread cow to cow.
In order to prevent that, the solution will almost certainly be the same one that has been used in confinement poultry operations - mass slaughter. So at an absolute minimum, we are looking a substantial increase in the price of beef, goat, probably lamb & milk." https://ko-fi.com/post/Bird-Flu-Round-Two-H5N1-is-Nastier-Than-Covid-J3J4W5DEK

"Gregory Gray, an epidemiologist at the University of Texas Medical Branch, calls the new [] detections in cows across multiple states a “worrisome” development because it may signal this bird flu strain is spreading directly between cattle, instead of via birds, and has mutated in ways that could allow it to better infect people.
Three U.S. states—Texas, Kansas, and New Mexico—on 25 March reported cows sickened with what scientists are presuming is the same H5N1 strain of influenza that has killed hundreds of millions of and wild birds.

The cattle infections are spoiling milk and causing limited disease in mostly older animals. Dead have also been found on some of the farms, which may explain the source of the virus. "
