I've seen this happen for three decades now. Open source or Linux dev almost creates something, gets really jazzed about it for several months, dev silently abandons project when a new shiny thing catches their eye. That's why I occasionally check in on but don't ever expect to see it in the Play store. He's already distracted by a new shiny thing, which seems to be

It is still early enough in the that or can easily be replaced if something superior comes along. So if or can develop their consumer facing products better and faster then they will inevitably get the community support. And since sublinks uses the existing Lemmy API it might have the best chance to do so.

You never know, the current Lemmy devs might be pushed aside tomorrow, anything could happen.

@Tutanota I think I already paid for three years in advance but I wouldn't mind a fourth. I am never going back to Twitter, and Bluesky is not an option.

    Just experienced my first . Had my headphones on, and it hadn't been for the birds and dogs going crazy outside I wouldn't have noticed. Seems to have been a 5.0.
