"anyone can talk to god, you don't need all the ceremony"
That's really close to why the Protestant Reformation happened, out of which all sorts of other lunacy has sprung. I'm not defending the Catholic Church by any means, but this particular criticism might not hit as hard as you intended it to.
The insect glue, produced from edible oils, was inspired by plants such as sundews that use the strategy to capture their prey. A key advantage of physical pesticides over toxic pesticides is that pests are highly unlikely to evolve resistance, as this would require them to develop much larger and stronger bodies, while bigger...
Also, the synchronization of content between instances is not instantaneous. Even with votes from federated instances, it will take some time for everything to process.
Browsing fedia.io, where my account is. On desktop, Chrome, one of my comments shows one favorite (upvote). On mobile, also Chrome, the same comment shows zero favorites.
I doubt all the vote inaccuracy is only at fedia.io, or other kbin/mbin/forks. Maybe it's unintended, but I also think it's a good thing. Reddit [spit] had to fuzz the votes to prevent spammers and brigading, to what degree that's possible. The inaccurate approval/disapproval also serves to make different voices heard where they would otherwise be more hidden. Getting conversations out of silos and hugboxes is good for society. We all could use some practice interacting with people we don't see eye to eye with.
Put another way, there is a very strong incentive for undocumented people to be as law-abiding as possible.
Specific to this “illegals voting” nonsense, if there had been enough undocumented people voting in a presidential election to impact the outcome, some of them would have been caught.
So far as I am aware, there are zero cases of an undocumented person even attempting to vote. Anywhere, ever.

For all of the people who will inevitably show up to say "But you can't criticize Biden, it's an election year":
I have never heard anyone say that. In fact, it's because you can criticize Biden and there's even an outside chance he'll listen that makes him the better candidate than the guy who listens to nobody ever, unless the message is how to make him more wealthy.
Edit: Actually, the only people I have heard say that are propagandists setting up straw men. Like you.
No, it’s because you and your ilk only ever criticize Biden/Democrats, as though the roiling dumpster fire that is the Republican Party is beyond reproach. Don’t they control the House, and by extension the purse strings? Haven’t they held up funding for Ukraine more than once? They should be doing the same for funding for Israel, right?
Must be why Republicans are forwarding legislation that would force Biden to continue sending arms to Israel, and Biden has said he would veto such a thing.
Hello everyone, I hope I came to the right place to ask my stupid question. I'm currently working in a company that stuck way way back in time. I'm talking some people are still working in DOS level back in time. There is some revamping of this in progres, but it's going to be a long run....
At a hospital again. I woke up to stinky meat next to me. They told me they don't have vegan food. They're very ostensibly rude about this. Had to listen to a long tirade from the room"mate" about how carnism is natural....
You need to talk to the charge nurse, and if that person doesn’t handle it, then escalate to whoever they report to, etc. Do this firmly and without throwing little tantrums.
Basic blender went bad (motor ran but spindle wasn't rotating). I wanted to disassemble to see if it could be repaired. Three of the four screws were Phillips head. I had to cut the casing open in order to discover why I couldn't unscrew the fourth. It was a slotted spanner.
My vacuum cleaner. You know how the roller brush gets all tangled up with hair and threads and whatnot, and the way you fix that is to remove the roller and cut it all out?
The external screws are torx security bits. The internal screws are Phillips. The only reason is to get someone who isn't persistent to go buy a new vacuum cleaner when their roller gets tangled
Notice how these ding dongs you're tangling with only ever say bad things about Biden/Democrats? They're either active propagandists or fully taken by them.
The question to ask here, to really lay it out: Whether you like it or not, politics in the US are between Republicans and Democrats. The presidential election is between Biden and Trump. Who's worse by a country mile?
When of course they are not both the same. Hell, even talking about Gaza/West Bank/Golan Heights, who actually thinks that the US with Republican control of Congress and POTUS wouldn't double the fuck down on enabling the Israeli government to subjugate Palestinians?
I've been alive long enough to know that the state of politics in the US since about 2012 is not normal, and that abnormalcy all comes from conservative lunatics, who are growing in number, or have always been there quietly, or both.
But really, as long as the commentary is just about how bad Biden/Democrats are ... "Go home, Russian propaganda."
It's a simple fact that Russia has been interfering with US elections using propaganda campaigns online since at least 2015, probably much earlier. They You continue to do so now.
Whether you like it or not, politics in the US are between Republicans and Democrats. The presidential election is between Biden and Trump. Who's worse by a country mile?
Go on, now. Say a bunch of bad things about US Democrats while utterly ignoring the dumpster fire that is the Republican party. I'll wait.
