This safezone turned refugee camp is now under attack again, and 100.000 people already have to flee by orders of the Israeli military. Far more will have to flee soon, which in most cases won't be their first displacement in this conflict alone. Over 1.000.000 people have arrived in Rafah, hoping to be safe from Israel's bombardment there.

A war in which 90% of deaths are civilians [Wikipedia], so for every 10 murdered civilians you may kill one terrorist, even if you want it to be a “war against terror”, it is a war against the civilian population more than anything else.

There is no other safezone. This is the only place resembling a home for millions of people.

A video by Al Jazeera showing the different cities, especially Rafah, in shambles and with horrible infrastructure, whilst interviewing some of the many perspectives and refugees.

Several former Google employees who were fired from the company for protesting against its cloud contract with the Israeli government have filed a complaint with the U.S. labor board.

The single-page complaint claims Google’s termination of their contracts was illegal and interferes with their rights to advocate for better working conditions, with one former employee claiming he was fired for simply watching the protest. @techspot has more.

So, as UK citizens, how can we put pressure on our government to stop sending weapons to Israel ?

We should not be playing any part in enabling this conflict to continue.
